Ingabe Kufanele Uphilele Olwanamuhla Kuphela?

“ANGILOKOTHI ngicabange ngekusasa. Vele lizofika maduzane.” La mazwi avame ukucashunwa kuthiwa ashiwo usosayensi odumile u-Albert Einstein. Abantu abaningi bazizwa ngendlela ethi ayifane. Bangase bathi: “Ngizikhathazelani ngekusasa?” Noma kungenzeka uye wezwa abantu besho izinto ezifana nokuthi: “Qhubeka nokuphila kwakho.” “Naka okwanamuhla.” “Khohlwa ngekusasa.”

Yiqiniso, le ndlela yokucabanga evamile ayiyintsha. “Yidla, uphuze, uzijabulise. Okunye akubalulekile.” Lesi kwakuyisiqubulo sama-Epikhuru asendulo. Izimo ezinzima iningi elizithola likuzo zenza ukuphila kwazo namuhla kube umshikashika wokuphila ongapheli, ogcwele usizi. Kungani kufanele zicabange ngekusasa, “ikusasa” ngokuvamile eliye libonakale lifiphele futhi lingathembisi?

Ingabe Kufanele Silihlelele Ikusasa?

Ngisho nabantu abangadonsi kanzima kakhulu ngokuvamile abasiboni isidingo sokuhlelela ikusasa. Bangase babuze: “Sizikhathazelani?” Abanye bangase bacabange ukuthi labo abalihlelelayo ikusasa bagcina bephoxekile futhi bedumazekile. Ngisho nenzalamizi yasendulo uJobe yadumazeka kakhulu lapho ibona amacebo ayo ‘ebhidlika’ kalula, kanjalo kwacekeleka phansi lokho okwakuyoba ikusasa elihle ngayo nomkhaya wayo.—Jobe 17:11; UmShumayeli 9:11.

Imbongi yaseScotland uRobert Burns yafanisa isimo sethu esinzima nesembiba encanyana abhidliza umgodi wayo ngephutha ngegeja. Le mbiba yabaleka ngemva kokuba lonke ifuku layo lihlakazwe laphela nya. Ingabe kuyize-ke ukuhlelela ikusasa? Iqiniso liwukuthi ukungazihleli kahle izinto kungaba nemiphumela emibi kakhulu lapho kugadla iziphepho noma izinhlekelele zemvelo. Ngokwesibonelo, kuyavunywa ukuthi akekho owayengasivimba iSiphepho uKatrina. Kodwa ukucabangela isikhathi esizayo nokuhlela izinto kangcono kwakungeke yini kunciphise indlela leli dolobha nezakhamuzi ezathinteka ngayo?

Wena ucabangani? Ingabe kunengqondo ngempela ukuphilela olwanamuhla kuphela, singalinaki ikusasa? Cabangela lokho isihloko esilandelayo esikushoyo ngale ndaba.
