UNowa naye wayeyindoda eyayiqondiswa izimiso zikaNkulunkulu. Nakuba ukulandisa kweBhayibheli kubonisa ukuthi uNkulunkulu wayemyale ngokukhethekile ukuba akhe umkhumbi, asiwutholi umyalo wokuba ashumayele kwabanye. (Mathewu, izahluko 5-7) UJesu wafundisa ngalendlela ngoba njengo-Abela noNowa abaphila ngaphambi kwakhe wayemazi kahle uNkulunkulu. Bheka Ngalé Komthetho
Yebo, imithetho idlala indima ebalulekile ekuphileni komKristu. Injengonogada abasiza ngokusivikela, futhi isekelwe ezimisweni eziningi ezibalulekile. Ukuhluleka ukuqonda lezi zimiso kungase kuqede uthando lwethu ngemithetho ehlobene nazo. Isizwe sasendulo sakwa-Israyeli sakubonisa lokhu.
UNkulunkulu wanika ama-Israyeli iMithetho Eyishumi, owokuqala wawenqabela ukukhulekela noma imuphi unkulunkulu ngaphandle kukaJehova. NamaKristu anemithetho evela kuNkulunkulu. Ngokwesibonelo, kumelwe agweme ukukhulekela izithombe, ukuziphatha okubi kobulili, nokusebenzisa kabi igazi. (IzEnzo 15:28, 29) Lapho ucabanga ngakho, singazibona izimiso eziyisisekelo, ezinjengokuthi: UNkulunkulu ufanelwe ukuzinikela kwethu okukhethekile; kufanele sithembeke kwesishade naye; futhi uJehova unguMniki-kuphila wethu. (Genesise 2:24; Eksodusi 20:5; IHubo 36:9) Uma siziqonda futhi sizazisa ngokujulile izimiso eziyisisekelo, siyabona ukuthi zizuzisa thina. (Isaya 48:17) Kithina, ‘imiyalo kaNkulunkulu ayiwona umthwalo osindayo.’—1 Johane 5:3.

Nokho, ngisho nabancane, lapho izinhliziyo zabo ziqotho, bangaletha udumo kuJehova ngokwazisa kwabo izimiso zeBhayibheli. Uthisha kaRebecca oneminyaka engu-13 wabuza ikilasi ukuthi ubani owayengagembula. Abaningi bathi ngeke bakwenze. Nokho, lapho kuvezwa izimo ezihlukahlukene, bonke ngaphandle kukaRebecca bavuma ukuthi babeyogembula ngezindlela ezihlukahlukene. Uthisha wabuza uRebecca ukuthi wayengalithenga yini ithikithi likamaziqokele elibiza amasenti angu-90 elidayiselwa injongo enhle. URebecca wathi cha futhi wanikeza izizathu ezingokomBhalo zokuthi kungani ukwenza kanjalo kuwuhlobo lokugembula. Izibonelo ezinjengo-Abela, uNowa, uJosefa, noJesu zisibonisa ukuthi siyazuza ngokusebenzisa ‘amakhono ethu okucabanga’ kanye ‘namandla ethu okucabanga’ ekukhulekeleni uNkulunkulu. (IzAga 2:11; Roma 12:1) Abadala abangamaKristu bayobe benza kahle ngokulingisa uJesu njengoba “belusa umhlambi kaNkulunkulu ongaphansi kokunakekela [kwabo].” (1 Petru 5:2) Njengoba uJesu asibekela isibonelo, labo abathanda izimiso zokuhlonipha uNkulunkulu yibo abachumayo ngaphansi kobukhosi bukaJehova bendawo yonke.—Isaya 65:14.
