Lokhu kwaphambana nesimo samaJuda ayengaphansi kwesivumelwano soMthetho. UPawulu wafanekisa lokhu nomka-Abrahama (uSara) nesancinza sakhe (uHagari), ethi: “Laba [“besifazane,” NW] bayizivumelwano ezimbili, esinye ngesaseNtabeni yaseSinayi, esizalela ubugqila, esinguHagari. Kepha uHagari lo uyiNtaba yaseSinayi iArabiya [lapho uJehova anikeza khona uMthetho kuIsrayeli ngoMose], eqondene neJerusalema lakalokhu, ngokuba lisebugqileni nabantwana balo. Kepha iJerusalema eliphezulu likhululekile, lona lingumame wethu.”—Galathiya 4:24-26.
Lapho uPawulu ethi ‘abesifazane bayizivumelwano ezimbilil,’ wayemane ekhuluma ngendlela efingqiwe. UJehova akashadile ngokomfanekiso nesivumelwano esingeyena umuntu kodwa nabantu abahlelekile abasesivumelwaneni. Ngaphambili wayebheke uIsrayeli owayengaphansi kwesivumelwano soMthetho njengomfazi wakhe. (Qhathanisa noIsaya 54:1, 6.) Nokho, owesifazane okhululekile (uSara) wayemelela iJerusalema eliphezulu, inhlangano kaJehova yendawo yonke, enjengomfazi kuye.
Kodwa amaJuda ayengacatshangelwa kanjani njengasebugqilini eMthethweni, njengoba wawuphelele futhi unikezwe uNkulunkulu ngokwakhe?
Kuyiqiniso ukuthi wona ngokwawo ‘uMthetho wawungcwele, nomyalo wawungcwele, ulungile, umuhle.’ (Roma 7:12) Kodwa amaIsrayeli angaphelele ayengaphansi koMthetho ayengenakuwugcina ngokuphelele, nakuba ayengase azame kangakanani.
