Ukungena kwamabutho akwaIsrayeli eLebanon kwavusa izinkulumo eziningi ngalokho okubangela inzondo ebonakala ihlasela iMpumalanga ePhakathi. “Usizi olukhulu,” kwasho uDennis Braithwaite weThe Toronto Sun, “luwukuthi amaIsrayeli namaPalestina, abantu bobabili abangamaSemitic, kumelwe balwe kulo lonke izwe eliyikhaya labo bobabili futhi ngokunengqondo bengahlanganyela ekuthuleni.” Ngokombono kaBraithwaite, “ukuphela kwento ebahlukanisayo inkolo; okunye inkolo yokuqondiswa ingqondo, iwawa, amanga. . . . Khipha ukushisekela inkolo kobuhlanya esibalweni, khona-ke ama-Arabi namaJuda asala elwelani?”
Kodwa umhleli waphawula ukuthi inzondo yenkolo ayilinganiselwe eMpumalanga ePhakathi kuphela: “Phawula ubuhlanya obusenyakatho Ireland, lapho izinkolelo ezimbili zenkolo yobuKristu ziye zabangela abantu abafanayo, abakhuluma limi lunye futhi abavela emhlabathini owodwa, ukuba bazivalele ekushikashikeni kokufa okuvimbela abangaphandle. Yini enye ngaphandle kwenkolo egcina i-IRA neUlster Defence League emacebweni aqhubekayo okubulalana nokuphindisela? Lapho kuxoxwa nabo kuTV, awukwazi ukubehlukanisa.”
UBraithwaite waqhubeka waphawula ukuthi “inkolo ingolunye uhlobo lobuzwe, inkolelo ‘yobubona’ ‘nobuthina’ . . . ukusongela okukhulu esikhathini esizayo sesintu.” Ingabe akunakwenzeka ukuthi lokhu kuqaphela inkolo ‘njengokusongela’ kuyoqhubeka kukhula futhi ekugcineni kuvuse intukuthelo yezizwe? Isiprofetho seBhayibheli siveza ukuthi izizwe zezombangazwe ngokushesha zizophendukela inkolo futhi ziyibhubhise njengesifebe esizondwayo esiye sasizakala ngazo isikhathi eside.—IsAmbulo 17:1, 2, 5, 15, 16.
“Umkhiqizo” Ophuphayo

Ngakho-ke ‘ukoma kwamanzi’ kokusekela inkolo okwabikezelwa ngokweBhayibheli kuyaqhubeka, njengoba nje amanzi omfula iEwufrathe oma ukuze alungiselele indlela yokubhujiswa kweBabiloni lasendulo. Namuhla, “iBabiloni Elikhulu,” umbuso wezwe wenkolo yamanga, lilahlekelwa “amanzi” alo, lihlalelwe umphumela ofanayo.—IsAmbulo 16:12; 17:1, 5, 15, 16.
“AmaKristu” Abulalayo
“Nakuba ngiwumfundisi futhi ngiwumfundi oshisekayo weBhayibheli, angikaze neze ngithole emiBhalweni eNgcwele ukwambulwa nokuncane maqondana nokubekwa phansi kwezikhali nokuthula kwezwe lonke,” kwagomela umfundisi waseLuthela ongumFulentshi uMichel Viot, eloba kweyansuku zonke iLe Monde yaseParis. “Angikaze futhi ngifunde ukuthi ukuhloma ngensabule ngokufanelekile kuyasoleka, . . . futhi njengoba kungokufanelekile ukuphatha izikhali, umKristu akakwazi ukusunduzela ngokushesha eceleni ikhambi elingokwezikhali lokugcina ukuthula.”
Loluhlobo lokholo olungokwenkolo luye lwabangela ukuzimisela kwamaKristu okuzisholo ukuphakamisa izikhali ngokumelene nakholwa nawo nabanye nemicabango yabezombangazwe. Ngokuqinisekile “umfundi weBhayibheli” angazuza ngokubuye ahlole IBhayibheli ukuze athole “ukwambulwa okuningi” maqondana “nokubekwa phansi kwezikhali nokuthula kwezwe lonke.” Basho bobabili umprofethi uIsaya noMika ukuthi: “Bayakukhanda izinkemba zabo zibe ngamakhuba, nemikhonto yabo ibe-ngocelemba; isizwe asiyikuphakamisela isizwe inkemba, zingabe zisafunda ukulwa.”—Isaya 2:4; Mika 4:3.
Maqondana nokushiwo imiBhalo ‘ngokuhosha inkemba,’ uJesu Kristu wathi “ngokuba bonke abaphatha inkemba bayakubhubha ngenkemba.” (Mathewu 26:52) Ngakolunye uhlangothi, amaKristu ayaziphatha izikhali ezingokomoya ezivunyelwe uNkulunkulu.—2 Korinte 10:4, 5.
