Kungakapheli ngisho namahora amabili kamuva, ezinye izikhulu zashaqeka lapho umkhuzi wempi eshaya ucingo ethi: “Kubuhlungu okwenzeke ku- ————, kodwa ngidinga umuntu ozothatha indawo yakhe kusasa ekuseni!” Kwenza ababukele bazibuza, Ingabe umsebenzi owawenziwa yilesi sikhulu kwakuyiyona nto eyayisenza sibaluleke kumkhuzi wempi?

Ukukhetha Ngokuhlakanipha
Izinqumo ezimbili abanye abazibheka njengezibaluleke kakhulu ekuphileni ngokuvamile zenziwa ngokuxhamazela—ukukhetha umngane womshado nokukhetha umsebenzi wokuziphilisa. Esikhathini esidlule, kokubili umsebenzi nomshado kwakubhekwa njengokuthile okuhlala njalo. Ngakho umuntu wayecabangisisa lapho ekhetha kulezi zinto. Ngokuvamile, wayefuna iseluleko kubangane asebekhulile noma abazali.
Nokho, kulezi zinsuku kubonakala sengathi abaningi bakhetha umngane womshado ngokubheka ukukhanga komzimba kuphela, bezitshela ukuthi uma izinto zingaphumeleli, bazofuna omunye umngane womshado. Ngokufanayo, abaningi bakhetha umsebenzi wokuziphilisa ngokubheka ukuvelela kwawo kuphela, bengazicabangeli izici zawo ezingezinhle. Noma okungenani izici ezingezinhle zimane zishalazelwe kuthiwe, ‘Ngizokwazi ukuzisingatha.’

Ngokwesibonelo, ezinye izinkampani zinikeza izisebenzi zazo izinzuzo zokunethezeka eziphawulekayo. Zingase zihlanganise izindawo zokudlela umkhaya nabangane abangadlela kuzo, ukuseviswa kwemoto mahhala nokuthunyelwa kwezingubo elondolo, odokotela bamazinyo basemsebenzini, ukusebenzisa izindawo zokuvivinya umzimba mahhala nokuxhaswa ngemali uma umuntu edla ezindaweni ezibizayo.
“Enye inkampani ize yakhokhela nesikhungo sabaphelezeli ukuze banakekele izisebenzi zayo ezikhandlekayo,” kubika intatheli uRichard Reeves. Kodwa qaphela! Uyachaza: “Lezi zinkampani zisungula amacebo okwenza ukuphila kwakho kube lula, uma uzenzela okukodwa nje kuphela—uma udela ukuphila kwakho ngenxa yazo; uma usebenza amahora angu-18 ngosuku nangezimpelasonto, udle, uvivinye umzimba, udlale, uze ulale ehhovisi usebenzela inzuzo yazo.”

Isaga sasendulo sithi: “Inja ephilayo ingcono kunengonyama efileyo.” (UmShumayeli 9:4) Lesi saga siphakamisa umbuzo, Ingabe umsebenzi wami wokuziphilisa ulingana nokuphila kwami noma inhlalakahle yami? Lapho bephendula, abanye baye bahlaziya isimo sabo bathola indlela yokuzondla ngokwanele—bona nemikhaya yabo uma benayo—futhi baphila ukuphila okujabulisayo, okunenjongo.
Kuyiqiniso ukuthi ukwenza lokhu ngokuvamile kudinga ukuthobeka futhi kungase kudingeke umuntu anqume ukuthi ziyini ngempela izidingo zakhe, esikhundleni sezinto azifunayo ezingabalulekile. Labo abafuna isikhundla nokuvelela bangase bangazifuni izinto ezivamile baze bababheke njengeziwula labo abazikhethayo. Kodwa yini ngempela ebalulekile ekuphileni? Ingabe usuke wazinikeza isikhathi sokucabanga ngalokhu muva nje?
Inkosi ehlakaniphile uSolomoni, eyabhala isaga esicashunwe ngenhla, yayicebile ngokwezinto ezibonakalayo cishe kunanoma yimuphi omunye umuntu. Kodwa lapho ifingqa lokho okubaluleke ngempela, yabhala ngaphansi kokuphefumulelwa kwaphezulu: “Ukuphela kwendaba, lapho sekuzwakele konke: Mesabe uNkulunkulu, ugcine imiyalo yakhe, ngokuba lokho kungokwabantu bonke.”—UmShumayeli 12:13.
Ngesikhathi esifanayo, uSolomoni wayewazisa umsebenzi. Wabhala: “Akukho okuhle kumuntu kunalokhu kokuba adle, aphuze, abonise umphefumulo wakhe okuhle emshikashikeni wakhe.” (UmShumayeli 2:24) UJesu Kristu, uSolomoni Omkhulu, naye uyawazisa umsebenzi, njengoba kunjalo nangoYise wasezulwini. UJesu wachaza: “UBaba uye waqhubeka esebenza kuze kube manje, nami ngiyaqhubeka ngisebenza.”—Johane 5:17; Mathewu 12:42.
Okwamanje, isikhathi sokuphila komuntu silinganiselwe. (IHubo 90:10) Kodwa uKristu wayazi ukuthi ukuphila okuhlala njalo emhlabeni kuyojatshulelwa ngaphansi kokubusa koMbuso, afundisa abalandeli bakhe ukuba bawuthandazele. Yingakho akhuthaza eNtshumayelweni yakhe yaseNtabeni: “Khona-ke, qhubekani nifuna kuqala umbuso nokulunga [kukaNkulunkulu], futhi zonke lezi ezinye izinto ziyonezelwa kini.”—Mathewu 6:9, 10, 33.
Lapho likhuluma ngokuphila ngaphansi kokubusa kwalowo Mbuso, iBhayibheli liyathembisa: “Bayakwakha izindlu, bahlale kuzo; bayakutshala izivini, badle izithelo zazo. Abayikwakha, kuhlale omunye; . . . nomsebenzi wezandla zabakhethiweyo bami uyakugugela kubo.”—Isaya 65:21, 22.
Yeka ithemba elimangalisayo—ukujabulela ukuphila okuphakade okuhlanganisa nomsebenzi owanelisayo! Ukuhlaziya ngokucophelela isimo sethu kungase kwambule ukuthi kudingeka sicabangisise ngezici ezithile zokuphila kwethu namuhla ukuze sigweme izingozi ezingase zibhuntshise ithuba lokuba sijabulele “ukuphila kwangempela”—ukuphila esikhathini esizayo ngaphansi koMbuso kaNkulunkulu. (1 Thimothewu 6:19) Ngakho kwangathi singabonisa ngomsebenzi wethu, nanganoma yini esiyenzayo, ukuthi siyamhlonipha Lowo owasinika ukuphila.—Kolose 3:23.
