Matthew 9:1-38

Wat Matthew Wen Write

9 So Jesus got on da boat an wen go across da sea to his hometown.* 2 An peopo wen bring him one guy on one stretcha dat no could move. Jesus see dea faith an tell da guy on da stretcha: “No worry, my braddah! Yoa sins stay let go.” 3 Some scribes* tink: “Dis guy no moa respeck fo God, da way he talk.” 4 Jesus, cuz he know wat dey stay tinking, tell dem: “How come you tink bad stuff about me in yoa heart? 5 Iz easy fo say, “Yoa sins stay let go.” But you tink jus anybody can say to dis guy, “Stan up an walk home”? 6 So dat you know God give me, da Son of man,* da right fo let go sins on da earth—” den he tell da guy dat no can move: “Stan up, pick up yoa stretcha an walk home.” 7 An he stan up an go home. 8 Wen all da peopo see dis, wen blow dea mind cuz God give one man da powa fo do dis. An dey start fo tell good tings about God.

9 Den wen Jesus leave from dea, he spock one man name Matthew sitting at da tax office. He tell him: “Come be my followa.” Den Matthew get up an follow Jesus. 10 Layta on, he go one house fo eat. Plenny tax collectas an sinnaz wen come. Dey start fo eat wit Jesus an his followas. 11 Wen da Pharisees* see dis, dey tell Jesus followas: “Eh, how come yoa teacha grind wit tax collectas an sinnaz?” 12 Wen Jesus hea dat, he tell: “Guys dat stay healty no need one docta, but da sick guys need um. 13 So go learn wat dis mean: “I like you show pity to oddas radda den make one sacrifice to me.” I wen come fo help sinnaz, not da guys dat tink dey righteous.”

14 Den John’s followas come by him an ask: “How come us an da Pharisee guys fast,* but yoa followas no do dat?” 15 So Jesus tell dem: “Wen you go one wedding, da groom’s frenz no goin feel sad if he stay dea ah? Bumbye da time goin come wen da groom no goin be dea wit dem. Dass wen his frenz goin fast. 16 If you get one puka in yoa clothes, you not goin sew one patch wit one piece cloth dat you neva shrink yet. Cuz da new piece cloth goin shrink an make one even bigga puka. 17 Dis da same ting wit putting new wine in one old wine bag.* If dey do dat, den da bag goin buss an da wine goin spill all ova da place an da bag no goin be good. But wen dey put new wine in one new wine bag, both tings goin stay good.”

18 Wen he wuz telling dem all dis, had one leada guy come by him an go down on his knees. He tell Jesus: “Wen I lef my house, my girl wuz real sick. Fo shua she mahke awready. But if you come an put yoa hand on her, she can live again.”

19 Den Jesus go wit him, an his followas go too. 20 An try look! One lady dat had suffa wit her ma‘i* fo 12 years had come behind Jesus an touch da edge* of his clothes. 21 She tell herself: “If I can jus touch his clothes, I goin come betta.” 22 Jesus turn aroun an see her. He tell her: “No worry, my sistah!* Yoa faith wen heal you.” From dat time on, she had come good.

23 So wen he had come inside da leada guy’s house an see da guys playing da flute an all da peopo crying real loud, 24 Jesus tell dem: “Get out, da litto girl neva mahke, she ony sleeping.” Dey tink he nutz an wen start fo laugh at him. 25 Az soon az da peopo went outside, he go in wea da girl stay. He hold her hand, an da litto girl wen get up. 26 An evrybody all aroun dea wen talk about wat wen happen.

27 Wen Jesus leave from dea, two guys dat wuz blind wen follow him. Dey yell: “Jesus, da one from David’s line, please take kea us an help us.” 28 Afta he go in da house, da blind guys come by him. Jesus ask dem: “You guys believe I can heal you?” Dey ansa: “Yeah, Lord, we believe.” 29 Den he touch dea eyes an tell: “Cuz you believe, you goin see.” 30 Den dey wen start fo see. But Jesus tell dem strait: “Make shua nobody find out about dis.” 31 But afta dey go outside, dey tell evrybody all aroun dea about Jesus.

32 Wen dey wuz leaving, peopo wen bring Jesus one guy dat no could talk. One demon had take ova him. 33 Afta Jesus hemo da demon, da guy who no could talk wen start fo talk. All da peopo no could believe wat had happen. Dey tell: “We neva see notting lidis in Israel befoa, eva!” 34 But da Pharisees tell: “He can hemo da demons cuz da Devil give um da powa fo do dat.”

35 Jesus go aroun to all da big an small towns. He teach in dea synagogs* an talk about da good tings God’s Govament goin do. Same time, he wen heal dem from all dea healt problems. 36 Wen he see all da peopo, he feel sorry fo dem cuz dey like sheep wit nobody fo take kea dem. Dey wuz all buss up an nobody wen pay attention to dem. 37 Den he tell his followas: “Get plenny fo harves but no moa nuff workas. 38 So beg da guy who own da field fo go get some moa workas fo bring da harves in.”
