NGUMLOBELI WE-PHAPHAMA! ENIGERIA

NGOKWE-WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO), cishe amaphesenti angu-25 abantu abahlala emazweni asathuthuka awawatholi amanzi okuphuza ahlanzekile. Abangaphezu kwamaphesenti angu-66—okungenani abantu abayizigidi ezingu-2500—bantula isimiso esikahle sokukhuculula indle. Umphumela kwabaningi uba izifo nokufa.

1. Geza izandla zakho ngensipho nangamanzi ngemva kokuthinta indle nangaphambi kokuphatha ukudla.

Kubaluleke kakhulu ukugeza izandla zakho ngensipho ngemva kokusebenzisa indlu yangasese, ngaphambi kokuphatha ukudla, nangemva kokuphipha usana noma umntwana osanda kuzikhulula.

2. Sebenzisa indlu yangasese.

Ukuze uvimbele ukwanda kwamagciwane, kubalulekile ukuyilahla ngendlela efanele indle. Izifo eziningi, ikakhulu isifo sohudo, zitholakala emagciwaneni endle yomuntu. Lamagciwane angangena emanzini aphuzwayo noma ekudleni, abe sezandleni, noma ezitsheni nasendaweni okulungiselelwa noma kuphakelwe kuyo ukudla. Lapho lokho kwenzeka, abantu bangadla amagciwane futhi bagule.

Sebenzisa indlu yangasese ukuze uvimbele lokhu. Indle yezilwane kufanele ilahlwe kude namakhaya nemithombo yamanzi. Ungase umangale ukuthola ukuthi indle yezinsana nabantwana abancane iyingozi ukwedlula eyabantu abadala. Ngakho ngisho nezingane ezincane kufanele zifundiswe ukusebenzisa indlu yangasese. Lapho abantwana bezikhululela kwenye indawo, indle yabo kufanele isuswe ngokushesha futhi ifakwe endlini yangasese noma igqitshwe.

Izindlu zangasese kufanele zigcinwe zihlanzekile futhi zivalwe.

3. Sebenzisa amanzi ahlanzekile.

Imikhaya enamanzi amaningi ahlanzekile atholakala kompompi ayivamile ukugula njengaleyo engenawo. Leyo engenabo ompompi bamanzi ingayivikela impilo yayo ngokugcina imithombo yamanzi imboziwe nangokuchitha amanzi angcolile kude namanzi asetshenziselwa ukuphuza, ukugeza, noma ukuwasha. Futhi kubalulekile ukuba izilwane zihlale ngaphandle kwendlu futhi zibe kude namanzi okuphuza.

Enye indlela yokuzivikela ezifweni ukugcina amabhakede, izindophi, nojeke abasetshenziselwa ukukha nokugcina amanzi kuhlanzekile. Ngokwesibonelo, kungcono ukulilengisa ibhakede kunokulibeka phansi.

Amanzi okuphuza ekhaya kufanele agcinwe esitsheni esihlanzekile, esivalwayo. Amanzi akuleso sitsha kufanele akhiwe ngenkezo noma ngenkomishi ehlanzekile. Ungavumeli muntu ukuba afake izandla zakhe emanzini okuphuza noma aphuze ngesitsha sokugcina amanzi.

4. Wabilise amanzi ngaphandle uma ephuma kumpompi onamanzi ahlanzekile.

Ngokuvamile amanzi okuphuza aphuma kumpompi aphephile. Amanzi avela kweminye imithombo angase abe namagciwane, nakuba engase abonakale ehlanzekile.

Ukubilisa amanzi kubulala amagciwane. Ngakho lapho ukha amanzi emfuleni, ezihosheni, noma emathangini, kuwukuhlakanipha ukuwabilisa bese uwayeka aphole ngaphambi kokuwaphuza. Amanzi okuphuza angenamagciwane abalulekile ikakhulu ezinsaneni nakubantwana abancane, njengoba bengakwazi ukumelana namagciwane njengabantu abadala.

Uma kungenakwenzeka ukubilisa amanzi okuphuza, wagcine esitsheni esinesivalo esenziwe ngepulasitiki ekhanyayo noma ingilazi. Beka lesi sitsha ekukhanyeni kwelanga izinsuku ezimbili ngaphambi kokuwasebenzisa.

5. Gcina ukudla kwakho kuhlanzekile.

Ukudla okudliwa kungaphekiwe kufanele kuhlanzisiswe. Okunye ukudla kufanele kuphekisiswe, ikakhulu inyama ebomvu neyenkukhu.

Kungcono ukukudla ngokushesha ukudla ngemva kokukupheka; ngaleyo ndlela ngeke kusithole isikhathi sokonakala. Uma kudingeka ugcine ukudla okuphekiwe isikhathi esingaphezu kwamahora amahlanu, kufanele ukugcine kushisa noma ukufake esiqandisini. Ngaphambi kokukudla, kufanele ukufudumeze kahle.

Ngokuvamile inyama eluhlaza inamagciwane, ngakho akufanele ithintane nokudla osukuphekile. Ngemva kokusika inyama eluhlaza, hlanza izitsha nanoma iyiphi indawo yasekhishini ethintwe yiyo.

Izinto okulungiselwa kuzo ukudla okuzophekwa kufanele zigcinwe zihlanzekile ngaso sonke isikhathi. Ukudla kufanele kumbozwe futhi kungathintani nezimpukane, amagundane nezinye izilwane.

6. Wushise noma uwugqibe udoti wasekhaya.

Izimpukane, ezisakaza amagciwane, ziyathanda ukuzalela ekudleni okulahliwe. Ngakho udoti wasekhaya akufanele ulahlwe phansi. Nsuku zonke, kufanele ugqitshwe, ushiswe noma ulahlwe ngenye indlela.

Ngokusebenzisa lezi ziqondiso, ungasiza ukuzivikela wena nomkhaya wakho ezifweni zohudo, esifweni samathumbu, ezifweni zezikelemu, ekudleni okunoshevu, nakwezinye izifo eziningi.
