SONG 99 Myriads of Brothers

You Prepare for the Problem Dem da Will Come After You Get Baptize?

“Let my steps stay on your tracks.”—PS. 17:5.

WHAT THE MAIN POINT?

We will learn how Christians can prepare theirself for the problem dem da will come after they get baptize.

1-2. Wetin can help us to stay close to Jehovah when we going through problem? Give example.

BECAUSE da Satan controlling this world, we know da we will go through problem. Da why Jesus tell his disciple dem say: “People will make other people to sin.” (Matt. 18:7) Sometime we will go through some problem dem da can make our faith weak. For example, maybe we will get problem with our brother and sister dem. So we mon be prepare so da when this problem dem come, we can stay close to Jehovah.

2 Let look at this example. Jehovah people can get direction on how to prepare for natural disasters. How we can prepare? First, we need to know what kindna natural disaster can happen in our area. It important for us to know this one especially if we just move in the area. When we know this one, it will help us to know what we can do so we can be prepare when any disaster happen. (Prov. 21:5) Da the same way it good for us to know the problem dem da will come after we get baptize and prepare ourself for it now-now. It will help us to be ready when any problem come. Like da, we will be able go through the problem and we will continue to get close friendship with Jehovah. (Ps. 17:5) So let talk about three problem dem da will come after we get baptize and how we can prepare ourself for each of them.a

WHEN YOUR BROTHER OR SISTER NOT TREAT YOU GOOD

3. What kindna problem we can face in the congregation sometime?

3 You remember how you wor feeling the first time you go to meeting and see the love da wor among the brother and sister dem? Ehn you wor convince da you na find the truth? (John 13:35; Col. 3:12) Da just how Blancab wor feeling. But after she get baptize, something happen da she wor not expecting. She say: “One sister not treat me good. And I also use to hear her talking bad-bad thing dem about other people in the congregation. When this one happen, I wor really surprise. Because I na learn da Jehovah people can try their best to make peace with people and treat them good.” Da true, the brother and sister dem can try their best to follow the good-good ways Jehovah get. But because they not perfect, sometime they can make mistake. (Eph. 4:23, 24; 1 John 1:8) So sometime they will say or do some thing dem to us da will make us to feel bad. (Jas. 3:8) Sad to say, this one na make some of our brother or sister dem to stop serving Jehovah.

4. Wetin can help you to know what to do when your brother or sister say or do something to you da make you feel bad? (Ephesians 4:32)

4 Wetin can help you to know what to do when your brother or sister say or do something to you da make you feel bad? Try your best to always follow the advice da in Ephesians 4:32. (Read.) If you try hard to be kind and get sorrowful heart for people, it will help you to avoid plenty problems. When somebody do something to you, be quick to forgive them from your heart. Wetin will help you to do this one? Think about the plenty time you can ask Jehovah to forgive you when you make mistake and how he can forgive you from his heart. (Matt. 6:12) When you grateful for the plenty time Jehovah na forgive you, it will make it easy for you to forgive other people.

5. What Bible verse can help us when somebody say or do something da make us feel bad? (Proverbs 19:11) (Also see the pictures.)

5 Read Proverbs 19:11. The Bible say da if we wise and try to understand other people, it will help us to be patient when they make us feel bad. This Bible verse na help one sister name Rima who just get baptize. She say: “When my brother or sister dem say or do something da make me feel bad, the first thing I can think about da Proverbs 19:11. It can help me to think about what they na go through before and what make them to say or do da thing. I can also ask them for us to work together in field service. When I do this one, it can help me to know them good-good.” This advice good for us because it can help us to know our brother and sister dem now-now. The more we understand them, da the more it will be easy for us to forgive them when they say or do something da make us feel bad.

Collage: 1. The brother dem working to the Kingdom Hall. One of the brother vex with the way the other brother talk to him. 2. Later on, the brother who wor vex working with the other brother in field service and they happy.

If your brother or sister in the congregation say or do something da make you feel bad, invite them to go field service with you (See paragraph 5)

6. Wetin can help you to get good friendship with your brother and sister dem in the congregation?

6 What you can do to get good friendship with your brother and sister dem? Try to focus on their good-good ways. (Compare Proverbs 10:12; Rom. 12:10; Phil. 2:2, 3) Da just what help one brother name Mark. After he get baptize, he start spending more time with the brother and sister dem in the congregation. Then he start noticing some thing dem about them da he not like. Wetin help Mark to not allow the brother and sister dem behavior to make his faith weak? He say: “I get to know da the mistakes my brother and sister dem can make, really small when you compare it with the bad-bad thing dem da plenty people can do in the world. So I decide to not be thinking too much about the small-small mistake dem my brother and sister dem can make. But I start focusing on the good-good ways they get.” If you follow Mark example, it will help you to get good friendship with your brother and sister dem in the congregation.

WHEN YOU START MISSING THE THING DEM YOU LEAVE BEHIND

7. Wetin can make us to start missing the thing dem we leave behind?

7 The time you become Jehovah Witness, you wor happy da you not part of Satan world again. Maybe you wor even thinking da nobody who leave Satan world will want go back. But when you start going through problem, maybe you start thinking about some of the thing dem you leave behind to come serve Jehovah. (Compare Numbers 11:4-6.) For example, some brother dem na leave their good job just because it wor taking plenty of their time. For other people, when they start studying the Bible, their friend dem stop coming around them. And some people overcome bad habit even though they use to enjoy it. Just imagine how Jehovah will feel bad if our friendship with him get weak because of the thing dem we leave behind! So wetin you can do now-now so da no matter what kindna problem you face, you will never go back to the thing dem da you leave behind?

8. Wetin we can learn from Abraham and Sarah example?

8 The Bible get example of faithful people who it wor possible for them to start missing the thing dem they leave behind. For example, Abraham and Sarah obey Jehovah by leaving from Ur, the beautiful and strong city they wor living in to go live in tents. (Heb. 11:8, 9) It clear da they wor having plenty good-good thing dem in Ur. So if they wor coming continue thinking about this thing dem or start missing dem, maybe it wor coming be easy for them to want go back. But they only think on the good-good thing dem da Jehovah promise to give them in the future.—Heb. 11:15, 16.

9. How the apostle Paul look at the thing dem he leave behind? (Philippians 3:7, 8, 13)

9 The apostle Paul also leave some thing dem behind to serve Jehovah. For example, before he become Christian, he learn the Jewish Law from one teacher name Gamaliel who the Jews really use to respect. (Acts 22:3) Paul wor coming be one of the important leader in the Jewish religion. (Gal. 1:13, 14) But when he accept the good news, he leave all da one dem behind. You think life wor always easy for Paul when he become Christian? No. They use to beat him, put him in jail and his own people use to hate his business. (2 Cor. 11:23-26) If he wor coming be thinking too much about how things wor alright with him before he become Christian, maybe he wor coming think da he make mistake to follow Jesus. But Paul not do da one. He focus on the important privilege he wor having to serve Jehovah and the wonderful blessing he wor coming get in the future. Paul wor convince da to follow Jesus wor more important pass anything he leave behind to become Christian!—Read Philippians 3:7, 8, 13.

10. Wetin we mon always think about? (Mark 10:29, 30) (Also see the pictures.)

10 What the lesson? If you start thinking about the thing dem you leave behind to become Christian, try to remember why you leave them behind. (Eccl. 7:10) Compare the thing dem you leave behind with the all the blessing dem you enjoying now-now. For example, you get close friendship with Jehovah God. (Prov. 3:32) You also get plenty brother and sister dem in your congregation and all around the world who really love you. (Read Mark 10:29, 30.) And think about the good-good thing dem Jehovah na promise to do for you in the future! (Isa. 65:21-23) If you always think about the good-good thing dem you get because you serving Jehovah, it will be hard for you to start missing the thing dem you leave behind.

Instead of missing the thing dem da you leave behind, try to be happy for the preaching work da Jehovah na give you to do (See paragraph 10)d

11. Wetin you can learn from Rosemary example?

11 One sister name Rosemary get baptize when she wor around 50 years old. She say: “When I first become Jehovah Witness, I use to miss Christmas, because me and my family use to enjoy spending da day together. I use to enjoy giving gifts to my family. When I use to see my children and grandchildren happy opening the gift I give them, it use to make me happy too.” But wetin help her to not miss the thing dem she leave behind? Rosemary say: “I can look for different day for me and my family to spend time together. I can invite them to spend the day with me and I can give them gift and tell them wetin I like about each of them.” Rosemary also go through another problem. She say: “When I become Jehovah Witness, my old friend dem stop coming around me. Sometime, I use to miss them and feel lonely.”c Wetin help her? She use to invite different-different sister dem to go field service with her. She say: “Because of da, I wor able to make new-new friend dem who I love and value.” Wetin you can learn from Rosemary example? Maybe you will miss something dem da you use to enjoy before you learn the truth. But remember da you able to get other thing dem da can really make you happy da better pass anything you leave behind. (Phil. 4:8, 9) Also, remember da Jehovah will always give you more than what you leave behind when you serve him.

WHEN SOMEBODY STOP SERVING JEHOVAH

12. Wetin can happen in the congregation sometime da can be hard for you to accept?

12 When you become Jehovah Witness, you wor happy because you not part of this wicked world again. And you wor happy to be part of the only group of people who teaching the truth and trying to do the right thing. (Isa. 65:14) But sometime, you will hear da somebody in the congregation na commit serious sin. And if the person not repent, they can even move them from the congregation. (1 Cor. 5:13) Let see how da one make one sister name Samar to feel. She say: “After I get baptize, it not stay long one elder commit serious sin and they move him from the congregation. It almost stumble me. Because I wor thinking da it not possible for elder to sin against Jehovah and make the brother and sister dem in the congregation to feel bad.” Da true, it good for us to always trust da our brother and sister dem love Jehovah and want stay faithful to him. (1 Cor. 13:4, 7) But sad to say, every year, they can move some of our brother and sister dem from the congregation. And it can really be hard if the person who decide to leave Jehovah da your friend, family member or somebody who you really respect.

13. Wetin we can do now-now so da we can’t be stumble if our friend or family member leave Jehovah?

13 Wetin you can do now-now so da you can’t be stumble if your friend or family member leave Jehovah? Continue making your friendship with Jehovah strong. (Jas. 4:8) Remember da everybody get their own friendship with Jehovah. So don’t allow your friendship with Jehovah to depend on other people own. For example, even though we can always study the Bible and pray together with our family and the congregation, we also need to pray to Jehovah and read the Bible on our own.—Ps. 1:2; 62:8.

14. Wetin we can learn from the apostle Peter example? (John 6:66-68)

14 We can also learn good lesson from the apostle Peter example. One time, plenty of Jesus disciple dem move from behind him because he say something da they not understand. Maybe Peter too not understand the thing Jesus say, but he remain faithful to him. (Read John 6:66-68.) Instead of following the other people example, Peter focus on the truth da Jesus wor teaching. This one help him to continue following Jesus. Da the same way, even if other people stop serving Jehovah, remember da because of this organization you wor able to learn the truth about Jehovah. So you mon stick to da truth! Samar who we talk about before say, “I can always remind myself da just because one person do bad thing in the congregation, it not mean da everybody do it. And it not also mean da the thing dem the organization teaching not correct. No matter how somebody act, our God Jehovah da wonderful God.”

15. Wetin you learn from Emily example?

15 Let look at Emily example. One week after she get baptize, they move her ma from the congregation and her ma leave the family to go live somewhere else. Emily say: “I wor not even thinking da my ma wor coming stop serving Jehovah. Da the biggest challenge I na ever go through and I really miss my ma.” Wetin help Emily? She say: “My pa really love me and he can really take care of me. I also get the brother and sister dem in the congregation who can treat me good, just like their own family member.” Everybody going through different-different problem. Da the reason why it important for us to love our brother and sister dem and encourage each other.” (1 Pet. 5:9) Don’t wait until you get problem before you make your friendship with the brother and sister dem strong. It good for you to do it now-now. Then when you get serious problem, your brother and sister dem will be there to help you and to comfort you.

16. Wetin we mon remember? (Also see the picture.)

16 Remember da Jehovah can discipline his servant dem because he love them. (Heb. 12:6) He want the people who they move from the congregation to repent and come back to serve him. (2 Pet. 3:9) So if they move your friend or family member from the congregation, you can trust da the elder dem will try their best to help them come back to Jehovah.—2 Tim. 2:24, 25.

The two elders visiting the man who they move from the congregation before. One of the elder get Bible in his hand and it open. The other elder showing one lesson to the man in the “Return to Jehovah” brochure.

If they move your friend or family member from the congregation, remember da the elder dem want help him to come back to Jehovah (See paragraph 16)e

17. Wetin we can be sure about?

17 We na talk about some of the problem dem you will face after you get baptize. But know da with all this problem dem, you can still serve Jehovah and be faithful to him. And you can do plenty things to prepare yourself for this problem dem. Always remember da Jehovah will help you to remain faithful to him. He already na help you, and he will always be there to help you! (1 Pet. 5:10) He will always give you the strength you need to bear any problem. So, if you continue to allow Jehovah to help you, no problem will be able to spoil the close friendship you get with him!—Ps. 119:165; Rom. 8:38, 39.

WETIN WE CAN DO TO PREPARE OURSELF FOR THIS PROBLEM DEM?

  • When our brother or sister say or do something da make us feel bad

  • When we start missing the thing dem we leave behind

  • When they move somebody from the congregation
