5 Yor listen yor the rich people dem, yor cry and shout because of the bad-bad thing dem da will happen to yor. 2 All your riches na get rotten and the insect dem na eat yor clothes. 3 Yor gold and silver na get rusty, and da rust will show all the bad-bad thing dem yor can do and it will destroy yor. All the thing dem yor na keep will be just like fire in the last days. 4 Look! The worker dem who harvest your farm continue to cry because yor not pay them for their work, and Jehovah* who get all the angel dem under his control, na hear their cry for help. 5 Yor na live rich life and yor na do things just to enjoy yourself in this world. Yor looking just like animal da na eat and get fat for the day they will kill it. 6 Yor na judge and kill the person who doing the right thing in God eye. Ehn da why he* against yor?
7 My brother dem, yor be patient until the presence of the Lord. See! The farmer can be patient from the time the first rain can fall in the raining season until the time the last rain will fall, so da he can harvest the good-good fruit dem from his farm. 8 Da the same way yor mon be patient and yor mon be strong because the presence of the Lord near.
9 My brother dem, yor mon not complain against each other, so da they can’t judge yor. See! The person who can judge standing to the door. 10 My brother dem, yor follow the example of the prophet dem Jehovah* send to talk in his name. Even though they went through plenty suffering, but they wor still patient. 11 We can say da the people dem who na suffer and bear it, they happy. Yor na hear about how Job bear his problem dem and how Jehovah* bless him. This one show da Jehovah* really love us and he get sorrowful heart.
12 My brother dem, it really important for yor to stop swearing. Yor mon not swear by heaven or by earth or by any other thing. Just let your “Yes” mean yes and let your “No,” mean no, so da God can’t judge yor.
13 They get anybody among yor who catching hard time? Let him continue to pray. They get anybody among yor who happy? Let him sing song to praise God. 14 They get anybody who sick among yor? Let him call the elder dem da in the congregation, and let them pray over him, and put oil on his head* in Jehovah* name. 15 And the prayer the elder dem will say with faith will make the sick person* well, and Jehovah* will make him strong again. And if he na commit any sin, God will forgive him.
16 So yor confess your sin to each other, and pray for each other so da yor can get well. The righteous person prayer get power and it can really help people. 17 E·liʹjah wor somebody who wor having feeling just like us, but still when he pray with his whole heart for it to not rain, it not rain for three years and six months. 18 Then he pray again, and the rain fall and the thing dem they plant grow and bear fruit.
19 My brother dem, if anybody leave the true teaching because somebody fool him and another person help him to come back, 20 yor mon know da the person who help the sinner to leave his bad-bad way dem will save him from dying. And God will forgive da sinner for all the sins he commit.
