Lapho amasosha kaSawule edla inyama enegazi, kungani engabulawanga, njengoba leso kwakuyisijeziso esasilotshwe eMthethweni kaNkulunkulu?
Lamadoda awephula umthetho kaNkulunkulu ophathelene negazi, kodwa kungenzeka aboniswa umusa ngoba ayelihlonipha igazi, nakuba kwakufanele akhuthale kakhudlwana ekuboniseni inhlonipho enjalo.
Cabangela isimo. Ama-Israyeli ngaphansi kweNkosi uSawule nendodana yayo uJonathani ayelwa namaFilisti. Lapho ‘abantu bakwaIsrayeli becindezelwe’ empini, uSawule ngokuxhamazela wenza isifungo sokuthi abantu bakhe kwakungamelwe badle kuze kube yilapho isitha sesinqotshiwe. (1 Samuweli 14:24) Ngokushesha lesifungo sakhe sadala inkinga.
Abantu bakhe babephumelela empini enzima, kodwa ukuzikhandla kwabo kwakunomphumela olimazayo. Babefile indlala futhi bekhathele. Yini abayenza kulesosimo esibi? “Abantu batheleka empangweni, bathatha izimvu, nezinkabi, namankonyane, bakubulalela phansi; abantu bakudla kanye negazi.”—1 Samuweli 14:32.
Lokho kwakuwukwephulwa komthetho kaNkulunkulu ophathelene negazi, njengoba abanye abantu bakaSawule bamtshela, bethi: “Bheka, abantu bayona kuJehova ngokudla okunegazi.” (1 Samuweli 14:33) Yebo, uMthetho wathi lapho izilwane zibulawa, igazi kwakufanele likhishwe ngaphambi kokuba inyama idliwe. UNkulunkulu wayengafuni ukuba kuthathwe izinyathelo zokushiseka okungenangqondo ekukhishweni kwegazi. Ngokuthatha izinyathelo ezinengqondo zokukhipha igazi, izinceku zakhe zazingabonisa inhlonipho ngokubaluleka kwegazi. (Duteronomi 12:15, 16, 21-25) Igazi lezilwane lalingasetshenziswa njengomnikelo e-altare, kodwa kwakungafanele lidliwe. Ukwephula lomthetho ngamabomu kwakunesijeziso sokufa, ngoba abantu bakaNkulunkulu batshelwa: “Maningadli igazi lenyama noma iyiphi, ngokuba umphefumulo wenyama yonke uyigazi layo; yilowo nalowo oyidlayo uyakunqunywa.”—Levitikusi 17:10-14.
Ingabe amasosha eNkosi uSawule ayephula loMthetho ngamabomu? Ingabe ayebonisa ukungawuhloniphi ngokuphelele umthetho waphezulu ophathelene negazi?—Qhathanisa noNumeri 15:30.
Akudingekile ukuba siphethe kanjalo. Ukulandisa kuthi ‘ayebulalela phansi izilwane futhi ezidla kanye negazi.’ Ngakho kungenzeka ayenza umzamo othile wokukhipha igazi. (Duteronomi 15:23) Nokho, esesimweni sokukhathala, nokulamba, awazange azilengise izidumbu zezilwane ezibulewe futhi avumele isikhathi esanele sokuphuma kwegazi okuvamile. Abulalela izimvu nezinkabi “phansi,” okwakungalibazisa ukuphuma kwegazi. Futhi ngokushesha asika inyama esezidunjini okungenzeka ukuthi zazilele phezu kwegazi. Ngakho, nakuba kungenzeka ayecabanga ngokulalela umthetho kaNkulunkulu, awazange awulandelele ngezindlela eziqondile noma ngesilinganiso esanele.
Umphumela waba wukuthi ‘abantu badla kanye negazi,’ okwakuyisono. USawule wakuqaphela lokhu futhi wayala ukuba itshe elikhulu ligingqelwe kuye. Wayala amasosha: “Lethani kimi, kube-yilowo nalowo inkabi yakhe, nalowo imvu yakhe, nizihlabe lapha, nidle, ningoni kuJehova ngokudla okunegazi.” (1 Samuweli 14:33, 34) Amasosha ayenecala alalela, futhi “uSawule wamakhela uJehova ialtare.”—1 Samuweli 14:35.
Ukubulalela izilwane etsheni cishe kwenza ukuba igazi liphume ngokwanele. Inyama yezilwane yayizodliwa kude nalapho ukubulala kwenzeka khona. USawule kungenzeka wasebenzisa elinye legazi elikhishiwe e-altare ukuze acele umusa kaNkulunkulu kulabo ababonile. Ngokusobala uJehova wabonisa umusa, ngenxa yokuthi wayazi ukuthi imiphi imizamo amasosha ayeyenzile nakuba ayekhathele kakhulu futhi elambile. Futhi kungenzeka ukuthi uNkulunkulu wacabangela ukuthi isifungo sikaSawule sokuxhamazela sasiye safaka abantu bakhe esimweni esibucayi.
Lokhu kulandisa kubonisa ukuthi isimo esiphuthumayo asithetheleli ukungawuhloniphi umthetho waphezulu. Kufanele futhi kusisize ukuba sibone isidingo sokucabanga ngokucophelela ngaphambi kokwenza isifungo, ngoba isifungo esenziwa ngokuxhamazela singabangela thina ngokwethu izinkinga kanye nabanye.—UmShumayeli 5:4-6.
