◼ Kungani uDavide afaka ngamabomu uAhimeleki umpristi omkhulu engozini, okwaholela ekufeni kompristi, njengoba uDavide avuma kweyoku-1 Samuweli 22:22?

Eqinisweni, eyoku-1 Samuweli 22:22 ayibonisi ukuthi uDavide wazi kusengaphambili ukuthi inkambo yakhe yayiyoholela ekufeni kuka-Ahimeleki. Lelivesi lithi: “UDavide wathi kuAbiyathara [indodana ka-Ahimeleki]: Ngazi ngalolosuku mhla uDowegi wakwaEdomi elapho ukuthi [uDowegi] uyakumtshela nokumtshela uSawule; yimi engibangele ukuba bafe abantu bonke bendlu kayihlo [uAhimeleki].”

UDavide, ebalekela iNkosi ethukuthele uSawule, waya eNobi, lapho kwakukhona umpristi omkhulu uAhimeleki. Mhlawumbe ngenxa yokukhathazeka ngokuthi umpristi omkhulu wayengazizwa enesibopho sokuveza umkhondo kaDavide eNkosini, uDavide akazange asembule isizathu sangempela sokungabikho kwakhe eJerusalema. UDowegi “wayelapho ngalolosuku, ebambekile phambi kukaJehova.” (1 Samuweli 21:7) Cishe, uDavide wamangala, waze washaqeka ngisho nokushaqeka, ukuthi uDowegi ongenamthetho wayembone enoAhimeleki. Ngokungalindelekile uDowegi wayelapho futhi wambona uDavide enompristi omkhulu. Ngakho uDavide ngokushesha waphetha ngokuthi uDowegi wayeyobikela uSawule. Kungakho kamuva uDavide avuma kuAbiyathara umuzwa othile wecala, ngisho noma uDavide anikela kuphela ngendlela engaqondile ekufeni kwabantu abaningi okwalandela. Wanxusa uAbiyathara ukuba ahlale naye, ngoba uDavide wayethembele esiqondisweni nasesivikelweni sikaJehova.—1 Samuweli 22:22, 23.

■ Ingabe kufanelekile ukuba abazalwane ababili noma abathathu bahlanganyele ekucwiliseni umuntu ngesikhathi sobhapathizo lobuKristu?

Ngokuvamile isikhonzi sesilisa esisodwa kuphela esidingekayo ukuze sibhapathize othile.

Nakuba iBhayibheli lingabeki uhla lwemithetho ngenqubo ephathelene nobhapathizo lobuKristu, singafunda embhalweni ongokweBhayibheli. Ubhapathizo lwamanzi lukaJesu lufundisa ngokukhethekile.

IBhayibheli liyabika: “Khona uJesu evela eGalile wafika kuJohane [uMbhapathizi] eJordani ukuba azobhapathizwa nguye.” (Mathewu 3:13) Qaphela ukuthi lithi “nguye,” hhayi yibo. Ukulandisa kwamaVangeli akunikezi lutho olubonisa ukuthi kukhona owahlanganyela noJohane ekubhapathizeni uJesu. Kungenzeka ukuthi kwakukhona ufakazi oyedwa noma abangaphezulu lapho uFiliphu ebhapathiza umthenwa wase-Etiyopiya “emanzini,” kodwa uFiliphu wayeyedwa ekubhapathizeni.
