What It Mean to Be Christian?—Wetin the Bible Say?

Today plenty people around the world can be proud to call theirself Christians. But still, the way they can behave or act to other people can be too bad. Some of them selfish, they full of krokrogee, and they wicked. Some of them can even cheat on their husband or wife. Their behavior na make some people to start thinking: ‘What it really mean to be Christian?’

So what it really mean to be Christian

It can be easy for somebody to say da they Christian. But da na something to just say by mouth. According to the Bible, to be Christian mean to be Jesus disciple. (Acts 11:26) Jesus hisself say: “If yor continue to do the thing dem I say, yor really my disciples,” (John 8:31) Da true, no nobody able to do what Jesus say without making mistake. But someone who Christian can try their best to obey the thing dem Jesus teach and show it by the way they live their life everyday. Let look at some example dem.

Christians can show real love

What Jesus say: “I giving yor new commandment to love each other. Just how I love yor, da how yor mon love each other. Da this one will make everybody to know da yor my disciples, if yor get love for each other.”—John 13:34, 35.

How he set the example: Jesus show real love to everybody, no matter where they come from, or whether they wor poor or rich. He heal sick people, feed hungry people, and even die for us.—Matthew 14:14-21; 20:28.

How Christians can behave: Like Jesus, Christians can show real love. They free handy, they can’t pick and choose, and they willing to forgive. They can help people who need help, and they willing to make sacrifices for other people.—1 John 3:16.

Christians can be fair in anything they do

What Jesus say: “I the . . . truth.”—John 14:6.

How he set the example: Jesus use to talk the truth in everything he say and do. He never try to use people or fool them to do things he want them to do. People knew him to be somebody who can talk the true, and he use to do it even if it will put him in problem.—Matthew 22:16; 26:63-67.

How Christians can behave: Christians can’t lie. They can pay their tax, and they can’t steal from people. When they working for people they can make sure to work for the time they paying them for. (Romans 13:5-7; Ephesians 4:28) They can’t eat people eye or spy when they taking test. They can’t lie on their document when they looking for job or on other document dem.—Hebrews 13:18.

Christians can treat people good

What Jesus say: “Come to me, all of yor who tire and get heavy load and I will make yor strong again. Be my disciple and learn from me, because I humble and it hard for me to get vex. And you will feel good. Because to be my disciple it not hard and my load not heavy.”—Matthew 11:28-30.

How he set the example: Jesus use to treat people good and make them feel free around him. He use to play with children, comfort the people da wor going through problem, and treat people with respect.—Mark 10:13-15; Luke 9:11.

How Christians can behave: Christians know how to talk to people good; they can’t act rude or cuss people. (Ephesians 4:29, 31, 32) They care for people and they can look for ways to help them.—Galatians 6:10.

Christians can’t cheat on their husband or wife

What Jesus say: “So, nobody mon divide what God na put together.”—Mark 10:9.

How he set the example: Even though Jesus never marry, he encourage marry people to be faithful to each other. (Matthew 19:9) He also warn them about thing dem da can spoil marriage.—Matthew 5:28.

How Christians can behave: Christians can avoid doing anything da can spoil marriage. (Hebrews 13:4) Marry people mon treat each other with love and respect.—Ephesians 5:28, 33.
