Plenty Money Spent on War—⁠What the Real Problem?

That not small money people can spend on war.

• “Last year the government them around the world spent $2.2 trillion on plenty different wars. It more than the money they spent in any other year.”​—⁠The Washington Post, February 13, 2024.

That not just money, but plenty things inside it too. For example: The war in Ukraine.

• Soldiers. When they check, they say almost 500,000 soldiers na die or get wounded since the war started two years ago.

• Civilians. The United Nations say, more than 28,000 na die or hurt bad way. But the big person for the UN say: “It not even possible to know how plenty people lives na chakala because of war.”a

That not small suffering human being going through because of war and conflict around the world.

• 114 million. The number of people that was displace because of war and violence around the world from September 2023.

• 783 million. The number of people that not get food to eat. The World Food Programme say, “Conflict that one of the main thing that making plenty people to not get food to eat. About 70 percent of hungry people in the world living in areas where war fighting and violence taking place.”

You think war will ever finish one day? What hope there for peace? You think they will use the plenty resources in the world to stop hunger and poverty? Wetin the Bible say?

The time of war

The Bible talk it ever since that war will be fighting all around the world. In fact, the Bible say, it will be looking like somebody riding on horseback.

• “Another came out, a fiery-colored horse, and it was granted to the one seated on it to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another, and he was given a great sword.”​—⁠Revelation 6:⁠4.

The future of peace

Very soon, nobody will use the resources in the world to fight war. But that not human being will do this one. The Bible say:

• God will bring “an end to wars throughout the earth.”​—⁠Psalm 46:⁠9.

• God will move all the problem them that war can bring. “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”​—⁠Revelation 21:⁠4.

• God will make sure to bring peace on this earth forever. “My people will dwell in a peaceful abiding place, in secure dwellings and in tranquil resting-places.”​—⁠Isaiah 32:⁠18.

According to Bible prophecy, the wars and other thing them we see happening today show that the time to get this peace near now.
