How You Can Make Jehovah Happy When You Planning For Your Wedding?
“Let all things take place decently and by arrangement.”—1 COR. 14:40.

We will learn how Christians who coming get marry can show da they honor Jehovah on their wedding day.
1-2. How Jehovah want your wedding day to be?
YOU engage and you coming get marry? If so, we happy for you! Maybe now-now, you busy planning for your wedding. Jehovah happy da you coming get marry. He want you to enjoy your weddinga day and live happy together in the future.—Prov. 5:18; Song of Sol. 3:11.

Even though they write this article mainly for people who coming get marry, all of us can benefit from it. It can help all of us to honor Jehovah when we attend wedding or when the people who coming get marry ask us for advice about their wedding.

HOW YOU CAN HONOR JEHOVAH?
5. How the Bible can help people when they planning for their wedding?
5 The Bible not give particular rule about how Christians mon do their wedding or their reception. So when you planning for your wedding, you can decide to do it the way you want do it or the way people in your area can do it. True Christians mon also obey the law dem the government get about marriage. (Matt. 22:21) Da true, you can decide how you want your wedding, but you mon follow Bible principles. When you do it, you will honor Jehovah and make him happy. So what some of the Bible principle dem you mon follow?
6. Why it important for people who coming get marry to obey the law dem the government get about marriage? (Rom. 13:1, 2)
6 Obey the law from the government. (Rom. 13:1, 2) In some country, the government get law dem da the people who coming get marry need to obey. The people who coming get marry mon know this law dem in their country. If you want somebody to help you to get this information dem, you can ask the elders.b
7. How wedding mon be and wetin can help to make it like da?
7 Your wedding mon show respect for Jehovah. (1 Cor. 10:31, 32) You mon try for your wedding to not show the spirit of the world, but it mon show the good-good quality dem da God spirit can give. (Gal. 5:19-26) Since the man will be the head for the family, he mon make sure da the plan dem they making mon honor Jehovah and make people happy during the wedding. Wetin can help for the wedding to be like da? The wedding talk base on the Bible. When they give the talk with respect and love, it will help everybody who listening to know da marriage da gift from Jehovah. It will also help everybody there, to see da wedding really important. Da the reason why plenty people can decide to use the Kingdom Hall for their wedding. If you want use any Kingdom Hall for your wedding, you mon write letter to the body of elders from one of the congregation da using the Kingdom Hall. And you mon do it before time.
8. Wetin you can do so da your wedding reception can’t show the spirit of the world? (Romans 13:13)
8 Read Romans 13:13. If you decide to get wedding reception, wetin you can do so da it can’t show the spirit of the world? The Greek word they use for “wild parties” can mean party da not get any control. People can drink plenty and music can play until way in the night. So if you decide to serve liquor to your wedding reception, make sure da nobody mon drink too much.c And if yor playing music, it mon not be too loud, so da your guests can be able to hear each other when they talking. Take your own time to choose the music dem they will play and listen to the word dem good-good, so da it can’t stumble anybody.
9. Wetin the people da getting marry mon remember when they planning for the thing dem they will do to the reception?
9 In some area, the people who getting marry friend and family dem can stand up and say small thing about them to the reception. Sometime, they can even show the bride and groom picture or do other thing dem to enjoy theirself. This one dem can make people to remember the day. But make sure da anything yor do, it mon show respect for the marriage. (Phil. 4:8) So ask yourself: ‘It will show respect for other people? It will show respect for the marriage?’ But the most important question to ask yourself da: ‘It will show respect for Jehovah?’ Even though it not wrong for somebody to give joke, they mon not talk any rude thing. (Eph. 5:3) And if your family member and friend dem want say something to the reception, help them to know wetin they not suppose to say.
10. Why you mon make your wedding simple? (1 John 2:15-17)
10 Try to make it simple. (Read 1 John 2:15-17.) Jehovah can be happy when his servant dem try their best to honor him and not put too much attention on theirself. So when you make your wedding simple, you will not spend plenty money just to show off. What some benefit you will get when you make your wedding simple? Let look at one brother name Mike example. He from Norway. He say: “We wor not owing anybody and we wor able to continue pioneering. Our wedding wor simple but we really enjoy it. We will never forget about it.” One sister from India name Tabitha say: “Because we make our wedding simple, we wor not having plenty decision to make. And we wor not having plenty things to worry about.”
No matter where we living, we can make our wedding simple, beautiful, and something to remember (See paragraphs 10-11)
11. Why it good to think about what you will wear on your wedding day? (Also see the pictures.)
11 You na decide wetin you will wear on your wedding day? We know you want be looking good on da day. Even people in the Bible, use to dress fine on their wedding day. (Isa. 61:10) Da true, you will want for your wedding clothes to be different from the clothes you can wear for other program. But it mon not be clothes da will stumble people. (1 Tim. 2:9) Don’t let what you will wear or the way you will look, to be the most important thing on your wedding.—1 Pet. 3:3, 4.
12. Why you mon not follow any custom da against the Bible during your wedding?
12 Don’t follow any custom da against the Bible. (Rev. 18:4) In the world today, they get plenty wedding custom da get connection with false religion, spiritism and false belief. Jehovah not want for us to follow custom dem like da because it unclean. (2 Cor. 6:14-17) If they get any custom in your area da you not too sure about, do research to find information and Bible principles da will help you to make good decision for your wedding.
13. How you can follow Jehovah example when people give you gift on your wedding day?
13 Da custom in your area for people to give gift during wedding? Da true the Bible encourage Christians to give because it can make them happy. But everybody not get the same hand, so people will give according to what they get. (Prov. 11:25; Acts 20:35) But you mon not make your guests to feel da they force to bring gift or da you not just want any kind na gift. We mon follow Jehovah example and be grateful for anything people give us.—2 Cor. 9:7.
HOW TO AVOID AND OVERCOME PROBLEM DURING YOUR WEDDING
14. What kindna problem some people can face when they planning their wedding?
14 You will face some problem dem when you planning your wedding. For example, maybe it will be hard for you to make your wedding simple. One brother name Charlie from the Solomon Islands say: “It wor very hard for me to decide who to invite to my reception. We get plenty friend dem. And in our culture, everybody can want for you to invite them!” Tabitha who we talk about before say: “In my area, everybody can want make their reception big. So it wor not easy for us to convince our parents da we want invite only 100 people.” Sarah from India say: “Some people can focus too much on how much they get and what other people will say about them. When my cousin dem wor getting marry, they make their wedding big. So other people wanted me to make my wedding big pass my cousin dem own.” Wetin can help you to overcome this kindna problem dem?
15. Why it important to pray when you making plan for your wedding?
15 Always pray when you making plan for your wedding. You can tell Jehovah about any problem you going through or how you feeling. (Phil. 4:6, 7 and study note “in everything”) Pray to Jehovah to help you make good decisions, to be brave and for your heart to lay down. (1 Pet. 5:7) When you see the way Jehovah answer your prayer, it will help you to trust him more. Tabitha who we talk about before say: “Me and my date wor worry da we wor not coming agree with each other on some things. We wor also worry da we and our family wor not coming agree with each other on some thing dem too. So anytime we making plan for our wedding, we use to start with prayer. And because of da, Jehovah help us to understand each other and for we and our family to understand each other too.”
16-17. When yor planning yor wedding, why it good for yor to talk about what yor want?
16 Show respect when yor making plan for yor wedding. (Prov. 15:22) Two of yor will get plenty decisions to make about yor wedding. For example, yor will need to decide on the date, how much money yor will spend, who all yor will invite and plenty other things. But before yor make any decision, yor mon talk about what two of yor want, what Bible principles yor mon apply and ask other mature Christians for advice. When yor talking with each other or with your family dem about what two of yor want, yor mon be kind, reasonable, and be ready to change some of yor plan. For example, if your parents want yor to do something da not wrong, yor mon try to do it. This day da special day for them too. So if yor not able to do what they want, tell them. But when yor telling them, yor mon be kind and show them respect. (Col. 4:6) And yor mon make it clear to them da the main thing da to make Jehovah happy.
17 When your parent not in the truth, it can be hard for you to explain your decision to them. But Jehovah can help you to do it. One brother name Santhosh from India say: “It wor not easy for me and my date to explain our decisions to our parents. They wanted us to follow some custom dem from the Hindu religion. So we agree to do some thing dem da will not make Jehovah feel bad. For example, to make them happy, we change the food they suppose to prepare for the reception. We also decide to not sing or dance because my parents wor not use to it.”
18. Wetin you can do so da everything can be alright on your wedding day? (1 Corinthians 14:40) (Also see the picture.)
18 Plan good-good. When you organize everything good-good, you will not worry too much on your wedding day. (Read 1 Corinthians 14:40.) One brother name Wayne from Taiwan say: “Few days before our wedding, we hold small meeting with the people dem who volunteer to do some work for our wedding. We talk about the plan we na make for da day. We also practice some thing dem we suppose to do during the wedding so da everything can be alright.” To show da you respect your guests, try to do everything on time.

19. Wetin you can do for your wedding to be the way you want it?
19 When you think ahead of time, it can help you to avoid plenty problem. (Prov. 22:3) For example, in some area, it common for people to attend wedding reception they not invite them to. So it good to think about what you can do so this one can’t happen to your reception. Make sure to tell your relative dem da not in the truth, what they mon expect and explain to them which wedding custom you will accept and which one you will not accept. You can also show them the article “What Happens at a Wedding of Jehovah’s Witnesses?” on jw.org. To help you control what will be happening during your reception, ask one mature brother to help you ‘direct the party.’ (John 2:8) If you explain to him good-good how you want your wedding to be, he will try for it to be the way you want it.
20. Wetin the people who coming get marry mon remember about their wedding?
20 When you think about all the thing dem you need to do for your wedding to be alright, sometime it can make you to worry. But remember your wedding da just one day. Da just the beginning for yor to enjoy serving Jehovah together. So try your best for your wedding to be simple and for it to show respect for Jehovah and the people you invite. Trust in Jehovah and allow him to guide you. When you do it, it will help you to organize your wedding good-good. Then anytime you think about your wedding day, you will be happy and you will not get any regret.—Ps. 37:3, 4.
