Help Your Bible Students to Take the Truth
“Stand firm in the faith . . . Grow strong.”—1 COR. 16:13, ftn.
WHAT THE MAIN POINT?
To help your Bible student dem to get strong faith and be brave to take the truth.
1-2. (a) Wetin can make it hard for some Bible student dem to take the truth? (b) Wetin we will talk about in this article?
Anything made you to feel that you not able to be Jehovah Witness? Maybe you wor scare that your workmates, your friend dem, or your family will go against you. Or maybe you wor feeling that you will not be able to continue to live by God laws. If that how you use to feel, then you can understand why your Bible students finding it hard to take the truth.
2 Jesus know that this kindna thing dem can stop some people from serving Jehovah. (Matt. 13:20-22) That the reason why he not give up on the people dem who wor finding it hard to follow him. But, he show his disciple dem by example how to help this kindna people (1) to know the things that stopping them from taking the truth, (2) to get more love for Jehovah, (3) to help them to put Jehovah first in their life, and (4) to overcome any problem that stopping them from taking the truth. How we can do the thing dem Jesus tell his disciples when we using the Enjoy Life Now and Forever! book to help our Bible student to take the truth?
HELP YOUR BIBLE STUDENT TO KNOW THE THING DEM THAT STOPPING HIM FROM TAKING THE TRUTH
3. Wetin wor making it hard for Nicodemus to be Jesus disciple?
3 Nicodemus wor big man among the Jews. But certain thing wor making it hard for him to be Jesus disciple. Just in six months when Jesus start preaching, Nicodemus get to know that God send Jesus. (John 3:1, 2) But Nicodemus use to hide hisself and go to Jesus because he wor “scare of the Jews.” (John 7:13; 12:42) Maybe he wor thinking that they will take his position from him if he be Jesus disciple.a
4. How Jesus help Nicodemus to understand what God wanted him to do?
4 Nicodemus knew the law that God give to Moses. But he needed help to understand what Jehovah wanted him to do. How Jesus help him? Jesus wor willing to use his time to even talk with Nicodemus in the night. And Jesus make it clear to Nicodemus the thing dem he suppose to do to be his disciple. Jesus say that he must repent from his sins, get baptize in water, and put faith in God Son.—John 3:5, 14-21.
5. How we can help our Bible student to know the thing dem that stopping him from making progress?
5 Even if our Bible student understand the Scriptures good-good, we still need to help him to know what stopping him from making progress. Maybe his work taking plenty of his time or his family not want him to be Jehovah Witness. So use more time to help your Bible student. Maybe you can invite your Bible student to your house or yor can just go walk around. When yor doing thing dem like this together, maybe he will tell you the problem dem he going through and you will be able to help him. Encourage your Bible student to make any change that he suppose to make. And he must do it because he love Jehovah and not because he want make you happy.
6. How you can help your student to be brave to take the truth? (1 Corinthians 16:13)
6 When your Bible student convince that Jehovah will help him to live by His laws, he will be brave to do the thing dem he learning. (Read 1 Corinthians 16:13.) The part you get to play looking like school teacher. The time you wor in school, what kindna teacher you really use to like? Maybe that the teacher who wor patient with you and help you to know that you able to do something. That the same way, good Bible teacher will not only teach what God want his student to do. But he will help his student to know that with Jehovah help he able to make some change in his life. How you can do it?
HELP YOUR STUDENT TO GET MORE LOVE FOR JEHOVAH
7. How Jesus help the people dem who listen to him to get more love for Jehovah?
7 Jesus know that love for God wor coming make his disciple dem to do the thing dem they learn. Most of the time, he use to teach them things that help them to get more love for their Father in heaven. For example, he compare Jehovah to one man who can give good things to his children. (Matt. 7:9-11) Maybe some of the people who wor listening to Jesus wor not having pa who show them that kindna love. Just imagine how they wor feeling when Jesus tell them the story about one man who really love his son. His son leave the house and start doing plenty bad-bad things. But when he come back home, his pa still welcome him. They wor able to see how Jehovah can feel sorry for people.—Luke 15:20-24.
8. How you can help your Bible student to get more love for Jehovah?
8 You yourself too can help your Bible student to get more love for Jehovah by talking more about Jehovah good-good qualities when you teaching them. When yor studying, help your Bible student to see how the thing dem he learning show that Jehovah get love. When yor talking about the ransom, help him to see how it apply to him. (Rom. 5:8; 1 John 4:10) It can be easy for the Bible student to get more love for Jehovah when they think about the way Jehovah really love them.—Gal. 2:20.
9. Wetin help Michael to change his life?
9 Let talk about one man name Michael, from Indonesia. He grow up around the truth but he not get baptize. When he wor 18 years old, he went to another country to work as truck driver. Later on, he marry and leave his family behind and went to work in different country. When he wor there, his wife and daughter start studying the Bible and they wor making progress. After his ma die, Michael decide to come back home to take care of his pa and he agree to study the Bible. Something really touch Michael heart when they wor studying the “Learn More” section in lesson 27 in the Enjoy Life Now and Forever! book. When he think on how Jehovah wor feeling when He see His Son suffering, Michael start crying. He wor really grateful for the ransom. And it make him to change his life and get baptize.
HELP YOUR STUDENT TO PUT JEHOVAH FIRST IN THEIR LIFE
10. How Jesus help his disciple dem to put Jehovah first in their life? (Luke 5:5-11) (Also see the picture.)
10 Jesus disciple dem wor quick to know that he wor the Messiah, but they needed help to put the ministry first in their life. Peter and Andrew wor already Jesus disciple when he invite them to be with him all the time. (Matt. 4:18, 19) They wor doing their fishing business and, maybe they wor working together with James and John and their business wor successful. (Mark 1:16-20) When Peter and Andrew “left their nets,” they made plans to take care of their family while they wor following Jesus. Wetin make them to put the ministry first? The book of Luke tell us that Jesus perform one miracle that really convince them that Jehovah able to provide for them.—Read Luke 5:5-11.

11. How we can use our own experience to make our Bible student faith strong?
11 We can’t perform miracles like Jesus, but we can tell our Bible student how Jehovah can help the people dem who put Him first in their life. For example, you can remember how Jehovah help you when you started going to the meetings? Maybe you wor able to talk with your boss man and tell him why you will not be able to do overtime because you wanted to go to the meeting. When you explaining your experience to your Bible student, tell them how it make your faith strong to see that Jehovah support your decision to put him first in your life.
12. (a) Why it good to carry different-different publisher dem on our Bible study? (b) How you can use videos to teach your student to put Jehovah first? Give one example.
12 Your Bible student will really benefit when they hear how other brothers and sisters na put Jehovah first in their life. So carry brothers and sisters from different-different backgrounds on your Bible study. Tell them to explain how they come in the truth and what they do to put Jehovah first in their life. Beside that, spend some time with your Bible student to watch the video dem that in the “Learn More” section or the part they call “Learn Other Things” in the Enjoy Life Now and Forever! book. For example, when yor studying lesson 37, maybe you can talk about some advice from the video Jehovah Will Take Care of Us.
HELP YOUR STUDENT TO OVERCOME PROBLEMS
13. Wetin Jesus tell his disciple dem to do when people go against them?
13 Jesus tell his disciple dem over and over that even their own family and other people will go against them. (Matt. 5:11; 10:22, 36) Just before Jesus die, he tell his disciple dem that people wor even coming kill them because they worshiping Jehovah. (Matt. 24:9; John 15:20; 16:2) He encourage them to be careful in the field service. He advise them to not argue with people who against them and be careful so they can continue preaching.
14. How we can help our Bible student to be prepare when people go against them? (2 Timothy 3:12)
14 We must tell our Bible student what their workmates, friends, and family members will do or say to them because they studying the Bible. It will help them to be prepare. (Read 2 Timothy 3:12.) Sometime, some of their workmate dem will make fun out of them because they trying to live by what the Bible say. For other people, even their close family member dem will talk bad-bad things about their beliefs. When we teach our student dem soon what to do when people go against them, it will help them to be ready when it happen.
15. Wetin can help your Bible student to bear it when their family go against them?
15 If your student family member dem go against him, encourage him to think on wetin making them vex. Maybe they thinking that Jehovah Witnesses lying to him, or maybe they just hate Jehovah Witnesses. Even Jesus own family member dem wor against him. (Mark 3:21; John 7:5) Teach your student to continue to be patient and know how to talk with their family and other people.
16. How we can help our Bible student to take time to talk when they explaining their belief?
16 Even if their family member show interest, the student must not explain everything one time. If he do it, the person will get tire and they will not want listen again. So encourage your Bible student to talk with their family member in the way that will make them to want listen again. (Col. 4:6) Maybe he can tell his family member to go on jw.org. Like that, it will help the person to take their own time to learn plenty things about Jehovah Witnesses.
17. How you can train your student to answer questions that other people will ask about Jehovah Witnesses? (Also see the picture.)
17 Maybe you can use “The Questions People Can Always Ask” session on jw.org, to help your Bible student to prepare simple answer for questions that their family members or workmates will ask. (2 Tim. 2:24, 25) When yor finish each lesson in the Enjoy Life Now and Forever! book, yor discuss the part “Some People Can Say” or “If Somebody Ask”. Encourage your student to prepare how to answer in their own words. When you see that he need to improve in certain area, show him how to do it. When you practice with him like that, it will help him to be brave to explain his beliefs.
Help your Bible student to preach by practicing with them during the study (See paragraph 17)c
18. How you can help your student to start preaching with the congregation? (Matthew 10:27)
18 Jesus encourage his disciple dem to preach the good news to people. (Read Matthew 10:27.) By the time the student start preaching with the congregation, it can make them to start depending on Jehovah. How you can help your student to start preaching with the congregation? When they announce preaching campaign for the congregation, encourage your student to see whether he can be unbaptize publisher. Explain why it can be easy for people to start preaching during this campaign dem. Another goal the student can set that to start giving talk in the mid-week meetings. When they start giving talk, it will help them to be brave to explain their beliefs.
SHOW THAT YOU TRUST YOUR STUDENT
19. How Jesus show that he trust his disciples, and how we can follow his example?
19 Before Jesus go back to heaven, he tell his disciple dem that one day they wor coming be together with him again. They not understand that Jesus wor telling them that they will go to heaven. Jesus focus on the way they wor faithful even though they not understand everything. (John 14:1-5, 8) He know that it wor coming take time for them to understand certain things, like their hope to go to heaven. (John 16:12) We too can show that we trust our Bible student that they really want make Jehovah happy.
By the time the student start preaching with the congregation, it can make them to start depending on Jehovah
20. How one sister in Malawi show that she trust her Bible student?
20 We must always trust that our student want do the right thing. Let talk about one sister in Malawi name Chifundo. She use the Enjoy Life Now and Forever! book to start studying with one young Catholic woman name Alinafe. When they finish studying lesson 14, the sister ask her student what she think about using image in worship. The Bible student get vex and say, “It leave with me to decide!” The sister start thinking whether the woman not want study again. But she wor patient and she continue studying with the woman, with the hope that the woman will understand it later on. After few months, the sister ask the woman this question in lesson 34: “How the thing you na learn about the Bible and the true God Jehovah, na benefit you?” Chifundo say, “Alinafe explain plenty good-good points. She say that Jehovah Witnesses can do the thing dem the Bible say.” It not stay long, Alinafe stop using image and she get baptize.
21. How we can help our Bible student to make the decision to serve Jehovah?
21 Even though that Jehovah can help somebody to make progress, but we get part to play. (1 Cor. 3:7) We must not only tell the person what God want him to do. But we must help him to get deep love for Jehovah. We must also encourage him to show his love by putting Jehovah first in his life. And we must teach him how to depend on Jehovah when he facing problem. When we show that we trust him, we helping him to be brave to live by Jehovah law and take the truth.

a Two and the half years after Jesus talk with Nicodemus, Nicodemus wor still member of the Jewish high court. (John 7:45-52) Some people say after Jesus die, that the only time Nicodemus became Jesus disciple.—John 19:38-40.
