The Third Letter John Write
1 Da me the older man,* I writing this letter to Gaʹius who I really love.
2 My friend who I really love, I pray so da you can continue to be alright in your body. And let everything continue to be fine with you just how it looking now-now. 3 I wor really happy when the brother dem came and tell me da you still faithful and you continue to obey the truth. 4 Nothing can make me happy* more than this one, to hear da my children dem continue to obey the truth.
5 My friend who I really love, you show da you faithful by the thing dem you can do for the brother dem, even though you never knew them before. 6 They na tell the congregation about the love you can show them. When they going, please help them in the way da will make God happy. 7 Da because of God name they go preach in this different-different place dem. And they not take anything from people from the other nation dem. 8 So we suppose to welcome this kindna people dem and take care of them. Then we will be people who working together with them to support the truth.
9 I write letter to the congregation, but Di·otʹre·phes who like to put hisself first in everything, can’t respect anything we say. 10 Da the reason why when I come, I will tell yor all the bad-bad thing dem he been talking about us. Apart from this one, he can’t welcome the brother dem with respect. And when other people want welcome the brother dem, he can try to stop them, and even try to move them from the congregation.
11 My friend who I really love, don’t follow bad example, but follow the good example. The person who can do good coming from God, but the person who can do bad not know God. 12 All the brother dem can really talk good about De·meʹtri·us, and his good-good way dem show da he obeying the truth. In fact, we too can talk good about him, and you know da the thing dem we saying about him da true.
13 I wor having plenty thing dem to tell you, but I decide to not write everything in letter.* 14 But, I will soon see you and we will talk face to face.
