The Letter James Write
2 My brother dem, yor really think yor showing faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who we can give honor to, when yor can still pick and choose among yourself? 2 For example, if somebody who wear fine clothes and get gold ring on his finger come to yor meeting, and one poor man who wear dirty clothes come there too, 3 how yor can treat them? Yor can welcome the person who wear fine clothes and tell him say, “Come sit down to this fine place” and tell the poor man say, “You, continue standing” or “Go sit down on the floor”? 4 If da what yor doing, then yor not think yor taking some people to be important pass the other people dem, and yor not think yor can judge people wicked way?
5 My brother dem who I really love, yor listen to me. The people dem the world look at to be poor, da them God choose and give more faith, and he give them the Kingdom da he promise to give to the people dem who love him. 6 But for yor, yor can make the poor people shame. Ehn da the rich people can suffer yor and drag yor and carry yor to court? 7 Ehn da the same rich people who can talk bad about the fine name da God give yor? 8 The scripture say, “You mon love your neighbor the same way you love yourself.” So, if yor obeying this important law,* then yor doing the right thing. 9 But if yor continue to pick and choose, then yor committing sin and the law na prove da yor people who breaking the law.
10 Because if anybody obey all the Law dem, but he break one law, it mean he na go against all the Law dem. 11 Because the person who say, “You mon not commit adultery,” da the same person say, “You mon not kill.” So, if you not commit adultery, but you kill somebody, it mean you na break the law. 12 Yor free, and they will use the law da give people freedom to judge yor. So yor continue to talk and behave like people who can obey the law. 13 When God judging people, he will not feel sorry for the person who can’t feel sorry for other people. To get sorrowful heart better than to judge.
14 My brother dem, what kindna benefit somebody will get if they say they get faith but they can’t do anything to show it? Da kindna faith will not save him, ehn da true? 15 If any brother or sister not get clothes to wear and they not get enough food to eat for the day, 16 then one of yor tell them say, “Go, everything will be alright. You will get clothes to wear and food to eat,” but yor not give the person anything, how yor think da one will help the person? 17 Da the same way, if somebody say they get faith, but they not doing anything to show da faith, then da faith da for nothing faith.
18 But, somebody will say, “You get faith, but for me I can do good work. How you will prove da you get faith when you can’t do anything to show it? But I will show you my faith by the good work I can do.” 19 You believe da they only get one God, ehn da true? It good da you believe it. But even the demon dem believe the same thing and they scare of God. 20 You who not know anything, you really want know da if somebody say they get faith but they can’t do anything to show it, da faith da for nothing faith? 21 Ehn God tell Abraham our father say he wor righteous, because of the thing dem he do after he put his son Isaac on the altar to sacrifice him? 22 You can see da Abraham wor having faith from the thing dem he use to do, and this one make it clear da he wor having real faith. 23 And the thing the scripture say happen, “Abraham put faith in Jehovah,* and because of da God look at him to be righteous person,” and Jehovah* call Abraham his friend.
24 So you see, God can say somebody righteous because of the thing dem they can do, and not only because of their faith. 25 Da the same way God look at Raʹhab who wor prostitute to be righteous because of the thing dem she do. She welcome the people who came to spy the land, and she show them different road to take so they can run away. 26 Da true, just how the body da not get life da dead body, da the same way, faith da nothing when the person not do anything to show it.
