The person who write Proverbs 30:18, 19 say da “the way of a man with a young woman” wor ‘beyond comprehension.’ What he mean?
Plenty people not understand this Bible verse dem. And even some big-big book people not know what it mean. In the New World Translation this Bible verse dem say: “There are three things that are beyond my comprehension [or, “too wonderful,” ftn.], and four that I do not understand: The way of an eagle in the heavens, the way of a serpent on a rock, the way of a ship in the open sea, and the way of a man with a young woman.”—Prov. 30:18, 19.
Before, we use to think da this part of the verse da say, “the way of a man with a young woman” talking about something bad. Why we say this one? Da because the other verse dem in this chapter talking about bad things.” (Prov. 30:15, 16) For example, verse 20 talk about one marry woman who not faithful to her husband and she say she not do anything bad. So we use to think da this verse wor talking about thing dem da can pass somewhere without anybody knowing. For example, when eagle fly in the air, snake pass on rock, or ship pass on sea, no mark can leave there for people to see. Because of da we use to think da this part of the verse da say, “the way of a man with a young woman” wor talking about the man doing something bad. Like the young man fooling the young woman so she can lay down with him before she come to herself.
But we get good reason to believe da this Bible verse dem talking about something good. The person who write this verse wor just talking about thing dem da wor wonderful to him.
In fact, the original Hebrew writing show da this verse talking about something good. One dictionary da explain the Hebrew Scriptures talk about the part of Proverbs 30:18, da say, “beyond my comprehension.” It say the Hebrew word they use to translate this part of the verse can mean, when somebody see something really wonderful da full their mouth.
One big book man name Crawford H. Toy from Harvard University in America, also say da this verse here not talking about something bad. He say: “The person who write this verse dem wor talking about how this thing dem wor really wonderful to him.”
So we get good reason to believe da Proverbs 30:18, 19 talking about thing dem da really wonderful and hard for us to imagine. Like the person who write this verse dem, it can really full our mouth when we see eagle flying way in the air, snake da not get foot crawling on the rock, heavy ship going on the sea, and young man and young woman falling in love and they happy living together.
