Peter and John wor brave and they continue to preach even though the priests and the Sadducees persecute them

LESSON 95

Nothing Wor Able to Stop Them

One man who wor not able to walk use to sit down and beg for money every day to the temple gate. One afternoon, he see Peter and John going to the temple. He tell them say: ‘Yor please give me small thing.’ Then Peter say: ‘I get something better more than money to give you. In the name of Jesus, get up and walk!’ Then Peter help the man to get up, and the man start walking! The people dem wor too happy because of the miracle. And plenty people started to believe in the Lord.

But the priests and the Sadducees wor vex. They grab the apostle dem and carry them to court. Then they say: ‘Who give yor the power to heal this man?’ Peter say: ‘We get the power from Jesus Christ, who yor kill.’ Then the big-big God people dem start shouting: ‘Stop talking about Jesus!’ But the apostle dem say: ‘We will continue to talk about him. We will not stop.’

As soon they free Peter and John from jail, they go to the other disciple dem and tell them about what happen. They pray together and tell Jehovah say: ‘Please help us to be brave so da we can continue to do your work.’ Jehovah give them his holy spirit, and they continue preaching and healing people. Plenty people started believing in the Lord. The Sadducees wor too jealous, so they arrest the apostle dem and put them in jail. But in the night, Jehovah send one angel who open the jail and tell the apostle dem say: ‘Yor go back to the temple, and teach there.’

The next morning, the soldier dem tell the Sanhedrin and the big-big God people say: ‘The jail still close, but the men dem yor arrest not there! They in the temple teaching!’ So, they arrest the apostle dem again and carry them to the Sanhedrin. The high priest tell them say: ‘Ehn we order yor to not talk about Jesus!’ But Peter tell them say: “God da the ruler we suppose to obey and not human being.”

The big-big God people dem wor vex bad way da they wanted to kill the apostle dem. But one Pharisee they call Gamaliel stand up and tell them say: ‘Yor be careful! Maybe God with this men dem. Yor really want fight against God?’ They listen to him. After they finish beating the apostle dem with rods, they give them order again to stop preaching, and they let them go. But da one not stop the apostle dem. They continue to be brave and preach the good news in the temple and from house to house.

“God da the ruler we suppose to obey and not human being.”—Acts 5:29
