What “thought” Jehovah will soon make the government dem to get?
Talking about the great tribulation, Revelation 17:16, 17 say: “The ten horns that you saw and the wild beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her devastated and naked, and they will eat up her flesh and completely burn her with fire. For God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, yes, to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast.” Before, our publication dem say da the “thought” da Jehovah will make the government dem to get, da to destroy false religion.
But we need to change da understanding. The “thought” da Jehovah will make the government dem to get, da to give “their kingdom to the wild beast.” To understand how this one will happen, let answer this question dem.
Who the main people dem in this prophecy? “The prostitute” or “Babylon the Great”; stand for all the false religion dem put together. The “scarlet-colored wild beast” stand for the United Nations. They form this organization in 1919 to be making peace in the world. And they first use to call it League of Nations. (Rev. 17:3-5) “The ten horns” stand for all the government dem da can support the wild beast.
What the relationship between the prostitute and the scarlet-colored wild beast? The prostitute been “sitting on” the wild beast. Da mean she can support it and even try to control it.
Wetin will happen to the prostitute? The wild beast and the ten horns da supporting it, “will hate the prostitute.” Da hatred will make them to take everything from her and show to everybody da she really wicked. Then they will destroy her. And da just what Jehovah say will happen. (Rev. 17:1; 18:8) Da just how all false religion will end. But before da one happen, Jehovah will make the government dem to do something da never happen before.
Wetin Jehovah will make the government dem to do? He will make the ten horns or the government dem to get “his thought.” And da for them to “give their power and authority to the [scarlet-colored] wild beast” or the United Nations. (Rev. 17:13) This one mean da it will not be the government dem own idea to just give their power and authority to the wild beast! But according to the prophecy, da Jehovah hisself will make them to do it. (Prov. 21:1; compare Isaiah 44:28.) You think this one will happen small-small? No! It will happen one time. Then the wild beast da get all the power now, will destroy all false religion forever.
So, wetin we mon expect to happen in the future? When we hear news report da the government dem around the world supporting the United Nations small-small, we mon not think da it fulfilling this prophecy. But we mon expect this one to happen: Jehovah will make the government dem to give their power to the wild beast one time. When da one happen, we will know da the great tribulation coming start. But while we waiting for this one to happen, “let us stay awake and keep our senses,” because this thing dem will happen one time and it will soon happen!—1 Thess. 5:6.
