Use the Mirror the Right Way

The disciple James compare the Bible to mirror that can help us to see ourself good-good. (Jas. 1:​22-25) How we can use the Bible like mirror?

Take your own time to read it. If we just look at ourself quick-quick in the mirror, maybe we will not be able to see whether something wrong with the way we looking. That the same way if we want see something about ourself that we need to work on, we must take our own time to read the Bible.

Focus more on yourself instead of other people. If we not hold the mirror the right way, we will only see other people and their problems. That the same way when we not take our own time to read the Bible, we will only use it to see other people problems. And this one will not help us to correct our own problem.

Don’t be too harsh on yourself. If we look at the mirror and only focus on what we not like about ourself, we can get discourage. So we must not be too harsh on ourself when we reading the Bible. We can do it by not expecting more from ourself than what Jehovah want from us.—Jas. 3:17.
