One Easy Question That Anybody Can Ask

Mary and her husband John,a living in one country where plenty people from the Philippines can come to live and work. She and her husband can be happy to preach to them. During the corona virus time, Mary wor able to start Bible study with people in the country she living and in other country dem. How she do it?

Mary use to ask her Bible student dem this question, “You know anybody who want study the Bible?” If they say yes, then she can tell them to show the person to her. Most of the time, asking this easy question can bring good results. Why? Because people who like what they learn from the Bible, can want tell their family members and friend dem about what they learning. What can be the result when Mary ask her Bible student dem this question?

Mary Bible student Jasmin, show her to four people who wanted to study the Bible. One of them that Kristine. She really use to enjoy her Bible study, so she tell Mary to study with her two times in the week. When Mary ask if she know anybody who want study the Bible, Kristine say, “Yes, I will show my friend dem to you.” In few weeks time, Kristine show Mary four of her friend dem who wanted to study the Bible. Later on, Kristine show Mary to some of her other friend dem too, and some of her friend dem also show their friends to Mary.

Kristine also wanted her family in the Philippines to study the Bible. So she talk with her daughter, Andrea. From the beginning, Andrea wor thinking that ‘Jehovah Witness that secret society who not believe in Jesus, and they can only use the Old Testament.’ But after her first study, she stop having that kindna thinking. Anytime she learn new thing from the Bible, she can say, “So long it coming from the Bible, that true!”

After some time, Andrea show Mary two of her friend dem and one of her workmate. Then Mary started studying with them. When Mary use to be studying with Andrea, Andrea blind aunty they call Angela use to be listening, but Mary not know. Then one day, Angela ask Andrea to show her to Mary. Angela tell Mary to study with her too. Angela really use to like the thing dem she wor learning. So in one-month time, she wor able to memorize plenty scriptures and she wanted to study four times in the week! With Andrea help, Angela always use to attend the meetings using video call.

Kristine husband Joshua use to be on the other side listening when they doing Kristine study. When Mary notice it, she ask him if he want join the study. Joshua say, “I will just listen, but don’t ask me any questions. When you do it, I will move from there.” The study not even go far off, he ask plenty questions more than Kristine and he even wanted to study the Bible too.

The easy question Mary use to ask made her to get plenty Bible studies. She made arrangements for other brothers and sisters to study with most of them. All in all, Mary wor able to start 28 Bible studies in four different countries.

Jasmin who we talk about before, get baptize in April 2021. Kristine get baptize in May 2022 and she na go back to the Philippines to be with her family. Two other students that Kristine show to Mary na also get baptize. After few months, Angela get baptize and now-now she regular pioneer. Kristine husband, Joshua, their daughter, Andrea, and other Bible student dem also making progress.

In Jesus and the apostle dem time, the good news spread quick-quick among family members and friends. (John 1:​41, 42a; Acts 10:​24, 27, 48; 16:​25-33) You not think it will be good to ask your Bible students and other interested people this question, “You know anybody who want study the Bible?” Maybe when you ask this easy question, you will find plenty people who want study the Bible.
