LESSON 70

The Angels Announce Jesus Birth

Caesar Augustus who wor the ruler for the Roman Empire, give order da all the Jews mon go back to their home town to register. So Joseph and Mary travel to Bethlehem, the place Joseph family coming from. It wor almost time now for Mary to give birth.

When they reach in Bethlehem, the only place they find to stay, da the place they can keep the animal dem. And da the place Mary born Jesus. Mary wrap Jesus in the blanket and lay him down to the place the animal dem can eat.

Near Bethlehem, some shepherd dem wor staying outside to take care of their sheep. Before they look, one angel wor in front of them and Jehovah glory wor all around them just like light. The shepherd dem wor scare, but the angel tell them say: ‘Yor mon not be scare. I get good news. The Messiah wor born in Bethlehem today.’ Right away, plenty angels appear in the sky. They start saying: ‘Praise God who in heaven, and let the people on earth get peace.’ Then the angel dem disappear. After da, wetin the shepherd dem do?

The shepherd dem tell each other say: ‘Let go to Bethlehem now-now.’ They go quick-quick and they find Joseph, Mary, and Jesus to the place they can keep the animal dem.

All the people da hear the things the angel dem say wor surprise. Mary think good-good about the thing dem the angel say and she never forget about it. And the shepherd dem go back to take care of their sheep, telling Jehovah thank you for all the thing dem they na see and hear.

“I come from God and I here. I not come on my own, but da him send me.”—John 8:42
