David and Goliath

Jehovah tell Samuel say: ‘Go to Jesse house. One of his sons will be the next king for Israel.’ So Samuel go to Jesse house. When he see Jesse first son, he started thinking: ‘Da this young man Jehovah na choose.’ But Jehovah tell Samuel say: ‘Da not him I choose.’ Jehovah say: ‘I can see what in people heart, not just how they looking on the outside.’

So Jesse bring his other six sons to Samuel. But Samuel say: ‘Jehovah not choose any of them. You get other sons?’ Then Jesse say: ‘I get one more son, and da David my last boy child. He go take care of my sheep.’ When David come home, Jehovah tell Samuel say: ‘Da he the one I choose!’ Then Samuel anoint David to be the future king for Israel, by putting oil on his head.

After some time, the Philistines started fighting the Israelite dem. The Philistines wor having one giant name Goliath who wor fighting for them. Every day, Goliath use to play fun out of the Israelite dem. He use to shout and say: ‘Send one man to fight me. If he kill me, we will be your slaves. But if I kill him, yor will be our slaves.’

David carry food to the Israelite army camp, for his brother dem who wor soldiers. When he hear Goliath talking, he say: ‘I will go fight him!’ King Saul say: ‘But you just small boy.’ But David tell him say: ‘Jehovah will help me.’

Saul give his clothes da he can wear to fight for David to use it. But David say: ‘I not able to fight in this clothes.’ David take his sling and go to the river. He choose five smooth rocks and put them in his bag. David start running to Goliath. Then Goliath start shouting: ‘Come here, my pekin. I will give you to the birds and the animal dem so they can eat you.’ David wor not even scare. Then David start shouting too: ‘You coming to me with sword and spear, but I coming to you in Jehovah name. You not fighting against us; but you fighting against God. Everybody here will see da Jehovah get power more than da sword or spear. He will give all of yor in our hand.’

Then David put one rock in his sling and turn it fast. Then he chunk the rock. With Jehovah help, the rock go straight and hit Goliath head. Goliath fall down and die. Then the Philistines start running for their life. You trust Jehovah just like David?
