How We Can Draw Near to God?

1. You think God can listen to all prayers?

God want people from all over the world to pray to him. (Psalm 65:2) But that not all prayer he can listen to. For example, if the man treat his wife bad, God can’t hear his prayer. (1 Peter 3:7) The time the Israelites were doing bad-bad thing and refused to stop, God not listen to their prayers. We must take praying business serious, because that important thing. Even people who now do bad–bad thing, when they change, God can listen to their prayer.​—Read Isaiah 1:15; 55:7.

2. How we must pray?

When we pray to Jehovah, we worshiping him. That why we must pray only to him. (Matthew 4:10; 6:9) We must also pray in Jesus name, because that him died for our sins. (John 14:6) Jehovah not want for us to remember one prayer, and be saying it over and over. Also, we must not read prayer from book. He want us to pray from our heart.​—Read Matthew 6:7; Philippians 4:​6, 7.

Even when we pray in our heart, God can hear us. (1 Samuel 1:​12, 13) He want us to pray anytime. We can pray in the morning, in the evening, when we coming eat and when we in problem.​—Read Psalm 55:22; Matthew 15:36.

3. Why Christian can meet together?

For us to draw near to God, it not easy, because we living among people who not get faith in God. God promise that he will bring peace on the earth, but they can’t take it serious. (2 Timothy 3:​1, 4; 2 Peter 3:​3, 13) So that why it good for us to meet together to encourage one another.​—Read Hebrews 10:​24, 25.

When we be among people that like God business, they will help us to draw close to God. If you go to Jehovah Witness meetings, you can benefit from the way they will encourage you.​—Read Romans 1:​11, 12.

4. How you can draw near God?

You can draw near God, when you think about the thing them you learn from the Bible. Think about the thing them he can do, his advice, and all the thing them he promise to do for us. When we pray and think about all the good-good thing them Jehovah now do for us, we will tell him thank you plenty from our heart, because he love us and he get plenty sense.​—Read Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:​1-3.

You can draw near God only if you get faith, and you trust him. Faith just like living thing. You need to feed it so that it can grow. So if you want your faith to grow, you must be thinking about the good-good thing them that make you to believe in God.​—Read Matthew 4:4; Hebrews 11:​1, 6.

5. How you can benefit from drawing near to God?

Jehovah care about people that like him. He can protect them from anything that will make their faith weak, and that will stop them from getting everlasting life. (Psalm 91:1, 2, 7-10) He can advise us to live our life in a way that will make us alright in our body and be happy. Jehovah can show us the best way to live.​—Read Psalm 73:27, 28; James 4:​4, 8.
