STUDY TIP
Prepare Upbuilding Comments
At our congregation meetings, we have the privilege to encourage our brothers and sisters through our comments. (Heb. 10:24, 25) How can we prepare comments that truly build others up?
Pray to Jehovah. Ask him to help you make a comment that honors him and encourages others.—Ps. 35:18.
Aim to do more than simply read from the publication. When you answer in your own words, others will benefit as they hear your expression of faith.
Keep your comment brief. Short and simple comments are often the most encouraging and allow more people to participate in the meeting.—Prov. 10:19.
Keep your comment positive. Avoid using your comment to counsel or criticize the congregation or a fellow Christian.
Even if you are not called on to comment, you can still build others up. Listen attentively, and express appreciation for their comments.—Prov. 10:21.
